Very nice find for $50.00 and looks to be lightly used. The starting instructions say 16:1 but the 1015 has the 2 ring piston and will run perfectly on 32:1. I have 2 of these. Just ran mine up and down the block this morning because it's fun. You need to set the blade depth with the toothed bar. With a new blade mine is around the 4th or 5th notch from the bottom instead of trying to balance the edger so it doesn’t go overly deep. Then adjust the handle height with the L lever on the straight bar on the left. You can actually curb hop this by raising the toothed bar way up and then you balance the edger on the front and right wheel. Works well. Enjoy having that great piece of Lawnboy history. Bill
Thanks! I figured out this was the wrong blade after the video. Its got the correct on on it now. Works great! Thanks for the tip about the mix ratio. That'll save me some money!
Just run 32:1 or even 50:1 modern oils are so good that thing will definitely not blow up 16:1 is ridiculous, even I only run 28:1 in my Gopeds. I have a lawn boy mower with a F series motor. It says to run 32:1 on the gap but seriously 50:1 is fine. Also what’s up with your xped?
Kinda what I'm thinking, but too much never hurts. Broke an engine mounting screw on the xped so it's just been sitting until I replace it. Hopefully I'll get that done soon. Lots of projects going on!
@@mowerbro4212 I run 32:1 in my '69 LB edger. I always do the mfg spec oil ratio even with a good high quality 2-cycle oil. Shouldn't have any problems.
