The '54 Ford Crestline Sunliner - $32,000 is mint & a fully optioned convertible a good deal worth the price, A rare car & the last year of that style.
I had one when in 1958 it was 4 years old and it was a piece of junk. I bought it for $400 and put a new top on it. The engine, Ford's first valve in-head, had a bad rear main seal. I ended up rebuilding the engine, the automatic transmissions Ford had then were also no good and I rebuilt that too. This one has a 1955 grill in it. These cars were shit boxes when they were new, who the hell would buy a restored one for $32,000.
@@ggeorge4144 Thanks for the education, maybe it's why they don't bring high prices. I looked at a '53 Crestline sunliner conv. in 2014 for $25,000 It was a temptation but I didn't buy it & walked away. $32k seems like a cheap price when you compare the prices of the Chevy's like the tri-five Chevy's still high especially a convertible. Chevy's are not much better than Fords & are overpriced. in 1981 I had a 57 Chevy 2 dr. hardtop & a '56 Buick convertible & the Buick was a much better car with a smoother ride & is more rare than a '57 Chevy. I ran across another mint '53 Crestline sunliner conv. for $25,000 but I'll pass on it.
Great presentation.....some really nice cars.....the modernized/modified that retain their original look are the most impressive.....can I have the 1949 Plymouth.....PLEASE !
