I’ve been dressing and decorating pre 1950s since the early 70s! Back in the day when every thing was made to last and fashion was actually ELEGANT!!! People used to make fun of my clothing in the late 60s , early 70s because I dressed head to toe 1910-1950! I no longer dress head to toe, but almost always have a piece of those days somewhere on my body! Love it!

As a 17 year old, i dress in suits and everyday clothes from the 30s I get alot of mocking comments by passer by's but i love it when people actually find it interesting and compliments

I dress formally, but I don’t have anything vintage, before now I never really throughout about it, but that’s a wonderful way to express yourself, I hope your collection continues to grow.

I, too, love vintage clothing and have worn pieces for many years. But, not to the extent that you are. I love that you appreciate the quality and beauty of vintage. You naturally have a feminine look from that era and your clothing looks fabulous on you. Kudos to you for owning who you are and what you love and not following what others do!!

I am absolutely obsessed with them! Singer Stevie Nicks started my addiction “ when I was just 14 . Now I’m in my 60yrs great shape thin. After seeing Fleetwood Mac in concert back in my teens I got vintage fever”! Then read how Stevie dressed…. I was also into Grace Slicks looks…but me a fair Blonde too I guess lol I got the STEVIEFIED” Haha. Now I do photo shoots “ I’m the photographer “ of me in dance format, or just made up dressed simply as my Rock n Roll Goddess and Fashionista Inspiration! I do not ever copy theres others too ,like Anita Pallenberg Keith Richards ex RIP …Style icon f the 1960. Honourable mention to Edie Sedgwick in the inspiration no I’m not endorsing her bad” behaviour. This is sim about style you like enjoy etc. I’d say mostly Stevie and Anita ,there was a time, I was into Sharon Tates look ….though it wasn’t really my bag. I’m very boho chic vintage style. I’m not a label” chic unless it’s my fave Free People” they are very boho comfy to wear I recommend them to anyone.

Awe I too started collecting because my father would love going to flea markets aka swapmeet he passed away in 2020 at the peak of covid yes from complications he passed away one month before the first vaccine came out anywho I still go to the swapmeets thanks to my father whom got me hooked 😂.

I don’t dress in precise imitation of a particular decade, but in my own interpretation of men’s styles from the 1930s and ‘40s mostly, to perhaps the early ‘50s. What amazes me is the number of people who come up to me on the street or in stores, all races, both men and women, often people a lot younger than me, and tell me how much they like how I’m dressed. I think there’s a hunger for classic styles, a sort of desire to get away from the t-shirts, sweatpants, flip flop sloppy look.

She’s into cool vintage stuff even her home has Tiffany Lamps….I found a cool lamp that I think is from1920s era….looks like a crystal flapper dress” I own Tiffany lamps. I dress in my own version of mostly ‘30s and ‘40s. Only some of it is actual vintage, but I also buy new things that are classic styles that haven’t changed much, if you know what to look for. (Maybe that’s easier for menswear, I’m not sure.) People frequently stop me to say how much they like how I’m dressed, both men and women, often young people much younger than me. White, black, whatever. It always surprises me and it always makes my day! You should consider going back to it if it’s what you love.

Well it’s basically way more fun! I’m quite a skinny tall person and would find it far easier to just wear dresses all the time and cute buckle flat shoes rather than spending my life searching for jeans that fit properly and trainers that don’t look manly on me! 😂

The clothes from that time is gorgeous! Also the quality is so much better than todays clothes, I am so tired of watching over sized t-shirts , You either come out looking like you are in a rap video of the 90's or a cheap stripper.

I also like vintage clothes but I sometimes worrry about the energy they carry. If that means anything to you it wod be advisable to do a spiritual cleanse on the stuff before you wear or put them in your house. Even a small prayer may do the job

I dont really think she LIVES every day like it´s the 1920s. She DRESSES like it´s the 1920s! Huge difference!!! If she lived in the 1920s she would have to deal with missing equal rights, wars, prohibition and many other things you don´t want to miss today! Sure, not everything was bad in the old days, but it was not completely perfect!
