Vintage old spice shave soap is awesome! It’s one of my favorite shave soaps to lather with great classic scent creamy super slick and it lathers very well. The mugs are super nice to and reusable with other shave soaps also the 1912 gems and ever ready razors make nice shavers I prefer the usa Bakelite or England aluminum handle models. Thanks again Vic
Thank you for watching and commenting! I wish they would re- release Old Spice soap pucks with the mug for a limited time type deal that would be great 👍
The soap really delivered. The lather looked really nice. The blessing and curse of wet shaving is unbelievable amount of choice. I have used RU-vid as a resource to learn about what is available and how best to spend my time and money. I am still going through a phase of trying just about anything I can get my hands on and it has been very satisfying. GEM razors can be an acquired taste. I was hesitant to try one for a while but I'm glad I did. I prefer SE razors in general with GEMs being the top of the heap. I find it fascinating that something as universal as men's face shaving can still be so personal. Thanks for the video!
Oh wow, I've never tried that vintage Old Spice soap. I really like Old Spice afteshave although it smells slightly different when you buy it in Europe compared to the United States. But this vintage soap...Man, now you make me jelous 😉 Great video and good shave. Have a nice day! 🙂
Hey Rick! The Old Spice shave soap is still to this day a classic! Great review of it! FYI...a strong educated guess is that your Gem razor was made in 1912. That was a common model. I am not a huge fan of those type single edge razors due to the blade choice you have to use for them. I prefer the injector razors if I use a single edge. In my opinion, the angle isn't what I like in a razor. The blades don't last more than 2 shaves for me which isn't economical. Love the vintage equipment in general though especially Gillette products! Thanks for your videos as always!!
