The Ross is a bit more ooen and warm sounding. The Rat is very often too harsh and fizzy imo.

Nice comparison. I just tried out 4 including the RAT and a Boss ds-1, I went with the Boss but they both sounded good. The RAT was just a little too mushy for me. Rock On!

the thing with a RAT is you can go 'overdrive', 'distortion', 'fuzz', or quite 'clean boost ' with just that one pedal, that makes it more reliable tbh.
