that is truly amazing after all these years it works so well by the way the SW on the radio control likely refers to shortwave. keep up the great work nothing like seeing old 70s 80s and 90s cassette tape stereo equipment I still have great memories of tons of old gear from back in those days🚀🍷🎯📡🎧
I had one just like this when I was a kid. The only problem I had with it was the wires came off the tape head. Otherwise, worked pretty good until I sent it to goodwill sometime in the early 2000s.
Had one of these years ago. They were Great for camping, road trips, power outages etc. Lasted a LONG time and never had a problem with the performance. The thing disappeared after I went off to college. I have siblings! I should have taken it with me... 😅
I have the 3609 tv that I still use and you can get a digital to VHF converter at wall mart for 30 bucks that will let you listen to a few free channels or you could find a VHF signal converter in some antique stores. The tv is a color crt but it has a black and white power save mode when the battery are low. Also that channel is probably a far away Mexican station which is why it looks so bad. One other feature mine has which yours probably can do is record audio from the tv to the cassette.
I have a very similar model and they draw way too much to run the TV on battery. Mine take 10 D cell batteries and on DC power draws over 20 watts. If you run this on brand new premium D batteries, at best you might get 4 hours. You can get 10,000mah D cell rechargeables though and they will run it about the same amount, but not 35 dollars worth!
I just bought one but I notice that it’s playing my cassettes really slow, any idea how to fix that? I tried using both batteries and with the wall plug.
