Video of ourselves cutting a few acres with a neighbour trying out the old gear. Sorry for wind noise and shaky footage, it wasn't me filming. Decided to leave the original audio to hear the hum of the harvester.
Great video lad brought back some good and bad memories of us picking silage foŕ 5 years with d same make of a jf on a 7600 Great harvester when d grass was dry could do nearly 25 acres a day. But any bit damp was a struggle and all raised tempers with my 2 brothers to think we made a living as silage contractors in d late 80s picking 25acres on d good day and the 3 of us made money as years went on and tractors got bigger it took 6 men and 100 acres a day to say it was ok. Thank god we got out of d contracting game but it still were good time Great video i wish id some of my
Man that brought back memories, from Galway and lad used to cut ours with a 188 with same Duncan cab. 41 now and for 7 minutes there I was 8 again.. thanks for the video.
The machinery is beautiful especially the 5000 original back window too and the 188 can fairly motor along class video Keep up the good work and keep the self propelled out
There will blokes look at this and laugh but these lads arnt married to the bank manager all hats off to them and i hope its a county with back rake on the pit
Something similar here. On my brothers place back in the 80s. Neighbour running the harvester, me hauling with a Ford 4000, brother rolling in the pit with another Ford 4000.
Full Mark's for the quality of your gear.... those trailers are a real credit to the guy who made them look that good....and the 5000 is stunning... I run old gear myself ...dexta...ford 3 and 4 thousands.... a 990 n 996 db and a same Dorado 85.... but nothings as tidy as your machinery... 👍
