Vintage Starter jacket comparison review (Old school new school) 

I remember these jackets would get you killed if you had the wrong one on in certain areas

Those new ones look terrible, in my opinion. Cheap knockoffs. Pay the money for an original vintage one if you have it. Well worth it. The craftsmanship was way better. These new ones look flimsy AF and will fall apart in 5 years I bet.

I have a vintage black Bulls satin coach's jacket with the snaps that i bought 30 years ago. I still wear & it looks like the day I bought it.

I bought a new satin jacket on clearance this spring. I'm happy with it. But I noticed some shortcuts Starter took with the replications when looking at the original on eBay. First, the logo is facing the wrong way. Second, the logo isn't even a full patch emblem. Just the outline is embroidered since the rest of the logo is the same color as the jacket color. And the inside tagging and color is different, which doesn't bother me. The original even had a designated spot on the tag to write your name in case you lost it. So I like that Starter made these again. But the originals were definitely made better with fully embroidered logos.

Thanks for the vid, I just bought a raiders one off eBay and paid a pretty penny. I thought I got scammed since the tag wasn’t blue on mine and the material doesn’t look as heavy as that kings one. But looking at the pictures mine has an nfl patch on the side, starter on the back, and tm on the front and back. Also was from Taiwan instead of china. Might’ve bought one that was in between. I think the difference might be proline starter instead of just starter. There’s probably a ton of different runs out there

If I sent someone pictures of mine would they be able to tell me if it’s vintage, new school, or maybe even fake. My dad got it for me for Christmas from eBay and it was certainly not cheap. It looks a lot more like the vintage jacket in this video but doesn’t have things like the starter logo on the back. The material is definitely not like the new school one in the video though. So I’m kind of between vintage or faked and I don’t know how the quality of faked starter is but my jacket doesn’t feel cheap

How is the sizing on the new ones? In the regular heavier non-button up Starter jackets, I'm a men's medium. Do you think these fit the same? I'm about 5'8, 170 pounds.
