I guess these videos are more an advertisement than review as it really does not offer any real information about the turntable. It does show it uses a magnetic cartridge so it must be somewhat decent, however it would be nice to know whether the arm lifts or remains on the unit. It would have also been nice to discuss tracking weight mostly to determine whether or not you can use anything other than the Audio Technica AT3600L cartridge. Also when doing a video on a turntable make sure your establishing shots are not reversed. All the shots of you at the table, the tone arm is on the wrong side.
There's no anti-skating setting, so it's not a good idea to mount another type of cartridge that requires a different vertical tracking force. Having the speakers built in is the worst idea. But this device is more ment as a gimmick I think....
Please don't buy turntables with built-in speakers. So many issues... they make turntables with bluetooth output, then you can get a decent pair of powered speakers and separate them (hopefully far away) from the turntable. Thank me later.
I can agree with your suggestion, but the player seems to be somewhat high-quality. The built-in speakers are likely to lack bass, so this shouldn't have an impact on the sound in the long run. The turntable comes with a decent cartridge and has a counterweight. Not once have I seen a cheap turntable with one installed.
