Hi. This is the second time I've seen you on you tube. I love watching you. I collect tea cups and saucers. Sometimes I only get the teacup cause there is no saucer. My eyes always look for beautiful flowers, and designs. I used to collect teapots. I had so many and some really strange looking teapots. Right now I have probably about 20 teapots and I have many teacups and saucers. I need to look at them closer to see if they might be Japan. There all on my shelves in the kitchen. Thank you so much for your information and you have a new subscriber. God bless you.

I too live the Japanese tea cups. They can be quite stunning! Some are so ornate and as a reseller, I find that most people pass over these cups in thrift stores or auctions. I love your Etsy shop by the way! I had a visit.

Thank you, Rosemary. I think you may be right about some people passing them by. That is part of why I wanted to make this video - to add to their appreciation. Thanks for watching and for visiting my Etsy shop.

For back stamp; The Japanese used "Nippon," which was the English equivalent of the Japanese word for Japan. It was not until 1921 that the US (& ENGLAND) changed the law so that pieces had to be marked "Japan," not "Nippon." These laws make it easy for today's collectors to identify Nippon china. It was made between 1891 and 1921. Also, Noritake's former name was Nippon Toki, so some of the cups just say NIPPON might be from that company. Morimoto is the mother company. (NORITAKE,TOTO, OKURA) MEITO CHINA was off spring of Noritake, they decided to create a company to make bone china for westerns export only, and invited 300 top hand-painting artist from all over Japan and made a huge hand-made factory. in Nagoya, where Noritake is still. That time Germany was in war and not producing enough quality china so MEITO wanted to dominate the western market.

Last week I found, amongst others, that top left (0:15) pink tea cup from a local thrift store. Royal Sealy from Japan for 3 dollars USD. Completely fell in love I bought all 6 tea cups they had and am now avidly searching for more, they’re beautiful!

Hello! I have several tea sets that feature the Geisha in the bottom of the cup. I wonder if you can tell me the approximate value of Dragon Ware cups/sets, they are so beautiful!

I just picked a beautiful Japanese tea set. As a reseller I’m having a hard time reselling it because I want to keep it!!! I have priced it so high that only a man or women of means and loves it more than I do can afford it. Meanwhile, my eyes will enjoy the view until Elon Musk or his type visits my store! I enjoyed this and I have many questions, not sure where to begin

@@happygalsvintage7711 I purchased it from a nearby antique shop, it has no words on the saucer but I recognize those houses, they look like houses from a chinese village.
