i’ve been researching vintage racing now that i’ve got my 30 year old losi LXT back up and running with all my old brushed electronics (with new Ninh packs though). This video is awesome! What kind of electronics package would you recommend for these kind of tracks? the LXT’s transmission has a 2.61 ratio. And i’m more into modified racing than stock.
First off, Welcome back to racing😁👍 I’d recommend starting off with a 17.5 motor, todays stock motors are a lot more powerful than some of the modified from back in the day…. I race my Vintage cars with either Hobbywing, Reedy, or Trinity 17.5 motors, 110C rating shorty packs, and Hobbywing Stock Spec Pro ESC…. if you want a budget friendly option, look into the Hobbywing Quickrun 17.5 motor/esc combo….gearing wise, 78 spur/26 pinion is a good starting point👍👍 Hope you have fun😁👍
I run a Hobbywing XR10 Stock pro and a XFactor 17.5 in this T2, in my T6.2 I run a Hobbywing XR10pro w/ Reedy 10.5 motor…. I would recommend a Hobbywing Justock 10.5 Combo.
