That grease injector adapter is a thing of genius young man. Top tips, to advice and a top bit of kit invented with and for a purpose. Well done squire!
Class video Dan we got new seals and brakes on our 35 a few years ago our mechanic who has worked on MFs all his life made it look so simple that a brilliant tool for putting in the grease👍
Just started doing a seal replacement on my Massey Ferguson. Even though I only understood half of the conversation, I learned enough to help me finish doing the job. Well done and thanks.
Great job Dan, I need to do the half shaft seals on my Grey/ Gold FE35 as oil is leaking out and has got into the brakes, great info regarding this job and the greasing tool was brilliant Thank you
Using your video as a guide for our 135 1972 Made in England. Incredible machinery and Thank you sir for your videos!! Your garage looks more comfortable than ours in Canada Ha...
We always used to set end float so that half shafts just touch, if you turn one and the other one turns in the same direction then they are too tight, you then add shims so that when one turns the other one goes in reverse
Re greasing bearings, an alternative is to use the gadget originally intended for icing birthday and Christmas cakes using a plain narrow nozzle. I always found it quite successful. Not sure about the modern plastic ones, as I purloined my mother's 1950's metal gadget that withstood the pressure. (She did find out eventually, together with her old deep saucepan I used to heat pistons in, prior to fitting gudgeon pins).
You have to get in touch with someone who talks about tractor or mechanical repair , because your info is too 👌 to miss. I now know how to fix that thing
You can purchase that grease needle here in the USA I bought one over 45 years ago it's pointed so you can place it in the ball of a zerk fitting all so.Gill
@@CowfarmerDan I guess the outer seal was leaking oil that had passed through the bearing. Changing just the inner seal does hold the oil back though and is less of a job than trying to replace the outer one too. This video gives me confidence that I could replace the inner seal, refitting that shrink ring wouldn't be possible for me!
I have mentioned your Vintage Thursdays vids on Edd China's latest vid in the comments , as he has not released many vids recently. Hope you get some more views or follows from there
