Love how he does everything himself unlike most shows where they have all these others doing the work but then the owner takes the affirmation. I also notice Ian also does it with the minimal special tools . A proper make do attitude

when I left highschool I bought a 1929 Plymouth truck. It had a covered back like a mail van, where you could stand up. It even had a small access to the driver compartment..it had a wood stove and a bed, and the old fella said he use to use it for hunting trips...

My my.. one of your best projects Ian.. You put this together and kind of let it flow out.. No rush and plenty of breaks and all the parts from different decades just fit together.. The truck is a joy to look at and the truck is functional who would ever want to sell or let go of this truck.. Ian you just nailed this bud.. This video is so fun to watch as it goes together.. Words can not describe the beauty of it all☺️👍

…maybe the most sensible and usefull Project thus far One can easily see why Don is so extremely stoked up with his tow / utility Truck MASSIVE bonus and change to the yard operations Well done you guyz A classic blend ending up in a masterpiece of note and showing off great style in looks from bygone eras spread over time Looks like the 60’s motor is also perfectly suited⁉️ Have fun… (dó consider giving it a name, or design a little tow truck service signboard for it, do’nt you think? One reflecting the founding date of the business as being from the oldest part utilized on this classic piece of ingenuity…😳❓)

The straight cut metal shear with the three blades was invented after WW2 by a Southern Californian named Al Swink. But his real claim to fame was the invention of the car wash. All this is featured in Look Magazine in 1947. The air blowers were electric superchargers bought government surplus off of B-17 engines. He and his wife both served as mayors of Santa Monica.

It 1000% needs the truss design he was envisioning somehow making them look like they were riveted on. In the 20,30 and 40s that’s exactly how things were designed. Google any 1920s crane and it’s a bridge design. Honestly The trucks crane isn’t busy enough it looks extremely bland.
