We've got quite a few videos out - "Illuminated" is more dynamic/clean, and "The Host" is currently blowing up on our RU-vid channel. Each VINTERSEA song takes elements of various metal subgenres and creates a pretty unique and dynamic hybrid imo 🤘🏼 I would recommend you check out their latest video, which is the “Fiery Tongue” Quarantine Playthrough🔥 “Old Ones” is also really good and has a nice blend of clean and harsh vocals (harsh vocal dominate). “Illuminated” is super proggy but clean vocal dominate and quite long (VINTERSEA doesn’t really do short songs lol)-I think it’s super worth checking out because it’s fantastic but just go on knowing it’s mostly clean😄 Honestly, you can pick any of their songs and it’s a banger in one way or another 🙌🏼

I stumbled upon Vintersea a few months ago over one of these YT suggestions. I put Befallen and in minute 1 I clicked the Like and in minute 2 the subscribe button, In my opinion one of the best metal bands today.

Yep, Avienne takes her place in the pantheon of beautiful metal goddesses. I found this band a couple of months ago after Hedgy mentioned them. Excellent song and cool reaction. You are the Odin of metal reactors !

This was cool, I highly enjoy VINTERSEA a lot, I am a fairly new listener to their stuff but for me a song I recommend checking out is entities, I know it's older and most reaction videos are usually on newer videos which I have no objections to, maybe that's just the rules but I don't make reaction videos so I don't know the rules on it 🤣🤣 but in that track she does switch back and forth vocal styles and I love it and I feel it makes a bigger appreciation of her vocal style.....but maybe it's just me 😁🤘

I like female vocalists, they have a much more delicate voice than their male counterparts.... xD

This right here is the track that got me into Vintersea in the first place. They've got a good variety of sounds and I feel like they should be getting some serious recognition. Their members seem to be some of most genuine and gracious people you'll ever meet. I'm always stoked to see a new reaction.

Another Vintersea reaction and this one has some actual thoughts about the song as opposed to just a listen with me type reaction. I would suggest the progressive side is more evident in other songs and look forward to more reactions if you do them!

Definitely going to be listening to this all fucking day at work tomorrow xD As a side note, if you are interested in checking out some progressive metal, and some sexy saxophone, check out Rivers of Nihil. "The Silent Life", and/or "Where Owls Know My Name" (which is the one I'd prefer, and recommend personally) are amazing tracks. I don't typically post bands, or songs I'd want you to take a listen to because I'll be honest, most if not all, recently have been bands I've seen on your channel, and fell in love with. I even sent you a message on Instagram, and I rarely get on there lol. I honestly think you'll like them. Keep up the great work man, you make my time living in Florida during the pandemic right now a little less shitty each day.

Yes!!!! You finally checked these guys out!!! They are my all time favorite band! This band has so much versatility to it! They have a song that leans a little into jazz("Crack of Light"), one that leans a little into power metal("Fiery Tongue"), one that is really light("Illuminated"), etc. And Avienne's vocals are beast! Like she can straight up sing like a siren("Spawn Awakening" & "Illuminated"). I'm looking forward for you to explore their stuff more!

My initial thoughts having never heard the band: Overall ... fine? Wish that the singer had a more varied approach to her screams as it became very monotone as the track dragged on. Singing portion to break things up was fine, perhaps a little more of that to vary things up. Very ArchEnemy-esque. Seems like she has a pocket of range that she is comfortable with, hoping she can expand further. The music itself in this particular track seemed very simple to me. Simple being the keyword there. Not poorly executed, but repetitive enough to making me wish they changed the song structure some. Guitar solo, akin to when the singer used cleans was a nice break in the action before going right back to square one. I’m not saying that metal needs to be overly complex, but varied rhythm or better flow would have done wonders here. Really only so long that a drummer can carry with blast beats before you want more. Willing to give them a second chance but won’t lie and say that I was underwhelmed.
