Hi Robert stellar video 😀thanks for doing the tag so quickly. I only uploaded it 25 minutes ago 😀You made a strong case for the 70s .. but it’s the 80s for me … nice to see the Buzzcocks one of my favourites .. Alan parsons. Nice choice . Your click joke video was one I appreciated.. Robert’ picks England!!!! 👍. I appreciate your kind words Robert ..cocaine on that eagles hits album 😳. Great response Robert have a great 2024 🎉👍
I agree with you Tobert about keeping this as THE vinyl tag. I think they are fun and it is nice to see people give various answers. Interesting dinner party. I think you covered all your bases there. Well done.
Robert, great Vinyl Tag! I just did my first video and it was a Vinyl Tag and I gave you a shout out! Thanks for your videos and humor! Keep up the great work! Your a big reason I made my first video.
You are a wealth of info, fun and you are a good man! I appreciate your hard work! I do disagree ........I 'd pick the USA IMO they English only followed our lead, may have improved or put their spin on it. But we got it all Right here in the good ole "USA!" .....................Thank you!
Hi Robert. I've been watching you for a while so I've gotten to know you a bit. When you say that Purple Rain is your 2nd favorite, can I assume that #1 is Pet Sounds?
U have shown that Betty Davis album a few times this year, I can tell how much u like it. 💥 U showed a lot of great records and didn't even mention Pet Sounds or Aja, are you turning over a new leaf for the new year?🤣😅 The part with the Easy E record was hilarious and yes I am shocked u have that record.😲 I remember your Mothers day video and agree it was one of your best! ❤ Happy New Year Robert!!
Hi Robert, I continue to enjoy your videos... love your dinner party choices... You always put some humor into your videos... A lot of these vinyl tags inspired me to start my own channel and do a tag response of my own... RIP Gary Wright...
I like your creative and funny answers to the 20 questions. I discovered Marcia P this year too. Love her sense of humor. 😊 Happy New Year. 🎉 I look forward to concerts in 2024. Already bought my first concert ticket Christmas Eve.
I always enjoy your videos. I really like Play Vinyl in the Milky Night's channel. I do have the Eagles Greatest Hits.Nice Tool record. Wow. Happy New Year.
GE Wildcat mustard colored. My first stereo, and I played the Jumpin Jack Flash single to death on it, along with Get Off of my Cloud. Good one Robert!
Happy New Year Robert. I think my favorite video of yours was the one where you went off on people who mispronounce your last name. It's not fourthen, not sixthen...thought I was going to wet my pants I laughed so hard! As far as musicians we lost, mine has to be Randy Meisner. 😢 So glad I got to see the Eagles before he left. I really enjoy your videos. Cheers from North Carolina!🎉🥂
I thought my tag was long. That Misfits 7” is too cool. That 3 Songs by Fugazi is the only Fugazi that I have. I would be afraid to invite Patti Labelle fearing she would want to sing. I remember when Bowie died MeanMr Mayo did a video the only Bowie album he owned was ChangesOne. If you only have one Bowie album maybe you don’t need to do a remembrance video. I didn’t have any Eagles albums until the 2000s. I bought all their studio albums up to Hotel California.
Hi Robert - I've been catching up on a few of your videos while snowed in the past few days. I've enjoyed all of them, particularly this one and "why I collect records." That's a fantastic stack of 7" singles you showed in this one. Well, you showed a lot of great records. Now I want to track down the Gary Wright video and the one where you inserted yourself into other VC videos....or something like that. Rock on!
Ive just started listening to Betty Davis thanks to your recommendation from this channel and nasty gal is some of the most craziest and awesome funk I've heard in such a long time you've made me a fan thanks for sharing her awesome music with us
Wow, Thank you so much for the shout out, I wondered why I got a handful of new subs today. I did however, make my Vinyl Tag video away from the fireplace. Will make the next there though, likely 3-4 times at the rate I put out videos, lol. Happy 2024!
I'm game, so... 1. Carol Pope double album radio show. No date, but newest song is the dub mix of Undercover by The Stones. So not new. 2. Last record was Angel With A Lariat by k.d. lang. 3. Speaking of multiple albums. Guided By Voices or King Gizzard. 4. Since I'm a kid of the 70's. That's my vote as well. 5. Manchester? As in Melissa? 6. Frank Zappa has been my most listened to for years now. 7. I finally went through my 45's. Turns out i got just over 600. And still buying them. Best was finding School's Out. Wasn't expecting that ending, like wtf happened there? 8. Grace Jones. Marc Almond. Alex Lifeson. Dean Ween. 9. Myles Goodwyn of April Wine 10. Still picking Canada, eh! 11. I don't watch you tube. 12. Nirvana's Incesticide 13. I don't know why i don't have any funk albums. 14. Black Sabbath's first album, and Black Sabbath's Technical Ecstacy. 15. The Waitresses - Wasn't Tomorrow Wonderful? 16. I have no new videos. Because my camera finally broke. And i have no idea, but something on this channel about Pet Sounds. 17. Polvo - Exploded Drawing 18. Led Zeppelin's In Through The Out Door. It should be a VR experience. 19. Steve Miller's Book Of Dreams 20. 1974? That sounds like research. Um...whatever Zappa albums were out. Well that was fun.
I have about 200 45s and I want a record changer too. Earlier last year I found a bsr turntable only that I was gonna connect to my Bose radio, but 45 rpm sounded like 40 rpm. It’s hard to find one that works.
I've heard of the Frightners - I heard about their "Nothing More to Say" album, probably back around 2016. That's probably when I first heard about Daptone Records because I always associate the Frightners with The Olympians - another band on Daptone with sort of a 60's - 70's Motown feel - sort of a Rocky soundtrack vibe. I got both of them on MP3 download. The Frightner's reminded me of the Specials but I missed the new album.
Hi Robert I just watched a video by a new channel he’s Daryl from Canada .. and he mentioned you a number of times .. I’m sure he’d be thrilled if you dropped him a comment his channel is northern vinyl guy .. cheers Robert 👍
Great list. My favorite video of mine, like yours, was one I did because it was important to me, not anyone else, but I wanted to make it. And it has one of the lowest view numbers of all my videos. I'm scheduling my for Wednesday.
For the Easy E album cover. Dress up like a creepy disco instructor. Fake chest hair, lots of gold chains, argyle socks, and white patent leather platforms with the gun finger pointer. 😆
I just jammed out on Betty Davis' self-titled LP yesterday. It still surprised me as I started listening to it the first time (months ago) to read on the back cover that Neal Schon played on reportedly 4 out of 8 of the tracks on that 1973 album. Honestly think he played on 6 out of the 8 listening to it though. This would have meant he did this work between the time he and Gregg Rolie left Santana and formed Journey near the end of 1973. I bought all of those Betty Davis archival series LP releases as they came out in 2023 plus a 2021 release of Nasty Gal from those Light in the Attic releases. Very cool indeed! Brian in Fort Worth 🎶
@@RobertFithenI know what you mean regarding Nasty Gal. I'm not sure why that one wasn't included in the Archival Series releases? And like you said, they even had a catalog number for it on one of the new LPs if I remember right. Who knows? I was able to get a new, sealed copy of the 2021 LITA reissue of Nasty Gal for a good price from an eBay seller so I got that. I did notice that one of the other Archival Series releases had a 2021 LITA date on it. So I'm guessing they started working on these releases back then? And there was definitely no OBI-like piece on Nasty Gal either. It wasn't part of the Archival Series with a volume number like the others.
Bobby Marchan was part of the Joe Tex Revue. Check out his great hit from 1966 -- "Shake Your Tambourine," on Cameo C-429. Now considered a major Northern Soul dance number in the UK
