My daughter was at the Sox game on Friday too. Her first time there! I love the Narragansett Dels Shandys!! My summer beer on the beach. That and the Jacks Abby Blood Orange!! Cheers☘️
10 days ago, how did I miss this? I am an Earthling yes… Ahhh UB40, great start, love them and the Jazz Guys… Another Grant? Getz & Peterson, Jimmy Cliff, gotta find me some, the. A little Dwight, have that one, might spin it this morning, Miles and all, man great stuff once again!!! This is Caity & Olivier Saying so long from Montreal, Quebec, Canada 😂🎷🎺🎶
Great haul Mike. Pixies looks superb. That Wilson/Adderley one is another winner. Hillbilly Deluxe is a nice one. Yokam gained some traction in the U.K. in the mid-80s alongside the likes of Green On Red, Steve Earle, Long Riders, etc. More trad country than the others of course, but very talented. I always had soft spot for Oscar Peterson after watching his weekly tv show in the uk back in the 70s where he would interview and play with some great rock musicians. I especially remember him having Rick Wakeman on his show. And everyone loves Stan Getz. That Chris Rea album is lovely. He's the guy who sings AND plays guitar. Slide is his signature sound. You want to check-out 'Blue Guitars) (a super cheap 10 CD set of blues guitar in different styles,) and his 'Dancing Down the Stony Road' is another great album. In the 80s he had a few pop hits, but he's strictly blues later on, and brilliant at it.
I have the first couple Steve Earle albums and they’re great. Exit 0 is excellent! Interesting on that Oscar’s Peterson TV program. I am definitely going to dig deeper into Chris Rea. I only ever knew that one album back in the 90s. We’ll miss you on 7/20 at the party David! ✌️🎸🍺
Great stuff there Mike, even better when it's a deal! Dwight, Oscar P, Hoodoo Gurus, Nancy Wilson...fantastic! Watched your video as I got ready for Sunday Funday in the Cape: Wellfleet Oysters and 🍸 await! Enjoy your Sunday... 😎🎶
I hope it’s a great day Ed! Enjoy the vacation and some good times. It’s steaming hot and sunny in Natick, but apparently big thunderstorms this afternoon!
Wow! You really had a great day at the show Mike! $10 table from Roger is unheard of. He’s amazing. I can’t find the Narragansett anywhere near me either
Always good to watch Record Show finds videos. Most times there are complaints about high prices, but $10 each is very reasonable. It means also us collectors will take a chance on something, or artist we don't know about. Out of the " Roger records ' that UB40, Pixies, and of course Hoodoo Gurus are what stand out for me. Enjoy your beers and music Mike.🍻
Excellent day it was Keith with terrific finds. Wish you could hop a plane and be here for the summer party on July 20th at my place. You have a standing invitation my friend! ✌️
@@MGKBOSTON Really appreciate the invite Mike. I would love to do a Ben Rankins and visit. The party is two days before my 55th birthday. Not possible at the moment but who knows for future overseas trips. Cheers my friend✌
Some great finds there buddy ! Cannonball, Dwight, Jimmy Cliff, Miles etc. Sorry I won’t be able to make it to your BBQ Blowout ! Record show here in Portland on Sunday July 21st. Take care, stay well and keep digging !
Nice to hear from you Jonathan! Brian texted me that he is likely going to make an appearance at the party. I’m confident there will be various videos posted from the event. Hope all is well my friend. ✌️
@@MGKBOSTON Mike I'd love to join you later this month but we watch our granddaughters while school is out. It's impossible for Brenda to go it alone. Looking forward to seeing y'all on the tube tho. Any opinions on Brian Augers band? Let me know if you like him.
That’s the 2nd of 3 (for now) Pixies RSD releases with the «same-ish» artwork and the one I didn’t find. I didn’t go to that tourist attraction in Brussels either by the by. It is sort of out of the way. This years Pixies was Red Rocks. Jaws edition of that beer sounds like fun 😊 Oooh, nice blue vin-nyl (ha! humour). Heeey, getting Hoodoo Gurus records because of Ben is MY thing! 😄 That is a great Chris Rea record. Someone said, Dire Straits are the band for people who don’t like rock music. Chris Rea are for the same people but also don’t like Dire Straits! Wishing you a nice Sunday and say hi to Colton 😊
They’re an 80s pair of Acoustic Research speakers. I am not a huge gear guy, but these have stood the test of time. When my parents were cleaning out the house years ago going into a retirement home I grabbed them.
