My first intro was in 99’, and I quit following them after the OG 6 cards. Sad to see the state of Psycho and all these boys beefing! Reminds me of the real life beef I have with all my old homies too
Followed ICP from The Great Milenko all the way until Twiztid split off. Not because of the split but just because my life was moving in another direction. Imagine my shock to come back years later and see that what I thought was just creative differences and Twiztid wanting to break off and do their own thing was actually some scandalous drama that still hasn't been squashed that spilled over and involved ABK and AMB at the least. The Hatchet Man on my arm marks me as a Juggalo for life but being so far out of the game I honestly don't know who to side with in this feud. Think Ima stick with my current position and say fuck the beef, ima appreciate both not for what they are but for what they were. RIP Dark Lotus...
It really saddens me that they're all beefing. I grew up listening to psychopathic in their peak years in the late 90s/2000s. Got me through some tough times. Still a fan of icp, twiztid, blaze, boondox, abk and amb.
Its sad for all the juggalos. I fell off for years , a few years after The Tempest came out, and i came back to this shit as it was happening. I still fucks with all of them, but its just really sad. But...that's life man. Shit changes and people grow apart. MMFCL till i die tho!!!
Lets be real with the beef set aside ever since twiztid went to do their own thing their music has drastically improved and has been able to put themselves out there more is good
in ABK's defense Violent J did not tell him to rep his native shit .. he was known as "Native Funk" before ABK and would rap about Native American shit all the time.
I’ve seen ABK perform PLENTY of times lately- The irony is that he ALWAYS represents the hatchet AND native funk at shows that he performs at. I have pictures and videos if anyone needs solid visual evidence of this FACT! James shows Love, Joe is just a drugged out fool and a bitter old hater now a days. I’m ashamed to carry these tattoos around on my skin with the way he has been acting lately. J need’s rehab and some reflection time. His thought process is WAY off. Much love and respect for the way ABK carries himself. 💯🎵🤘🏻
No, I don’t think he meant he created ABK repping his heritage. What he meant was, when they sat down and were thinking how to market his “gimmick”, he probably was like… just rep the Native shit. Put on this face paint, say your speaking for your ancestors beyond the grave or are one. Probably helped him with the name. Look, ICP sat down with everyone of their artist prior to promoting them and they came up with gimmicks. “Blaze, he’s a OG from 80s back from the dead. Boondox, your from the south. How about a scarecrow?” That kind of shit. And yes, it’s apparent that he is on drugs right now. Just seems like he’s going through some things.
sorry icp have enough music to carry juggallos alone, always had and still do, once violent j can no longer perform and shaggy hangs it up, to me its all over, im not saying i dont apreciate all the other acts from psychopathic, but to say icp ever need anyone its borderline blasphemy. Icp as a band its like a twitter account with no visibility. People in charge will always twist their lyrics and block them from growing any further. Whoever saw it saw it enjoy the last years of icp, and fuck twiztid
All of them together made me feel like I had a family even tho I didn't really have one this was just like my parents divorce all over again roflmao😂😂😂😂
I wanna agree with J, because he’s very likable, and he and Shaggy created all this. But the fact that so many other classic Psychopathic talent went over to Majic Ninja does seem to say maybe Twiztid’s side is valid too.
There’s two sides to every story. You hear J touch exactly why they left. The 4 main guys control everything creatively. Twiztid wanted creative control over their music.
@@ConservativeJuggaloPodcasthonestly once the FBI stepped in an called “juggalos” a gang there was a lot of reasons why they did. An at that time the damage was going on long before that so yeah they stayed out of it. I covered my tattoo up because of work it almost ruined a career path because of it.
Violent J is someone I have immense respect for in music, truly a visionary in regards to DIY music and business, I even think he is underrated as a rapper and story teller. One of the absolute greats in my book, regardless of genre. However, I’m sure there is more that’s not told but anyone with ears could tell that Twiztid, not so much the others, were much more lyrically talented than ICP and they eventually started to get bigger on their own and wanted to branch out, crazy to see them accepted at rock shows now. My first ICP show was 2010 and my first Gathering was 2012 when I was 18, so lucky to have caught Psychopathic back then. To see what has happened, haven’t listened to new music in years, it’s a shame but I think Twiztid is where they should be and ICP and J are where they should be.
@JimboReed-md8pk only Gathering I made it to was I think the 5th in 2002 ??? Rydas, Lotus, Bone Thugs, Esham, ODB (RIP), it was so DOPE!!!! Great memories 👌 I'll always be grateful for that... Its really sad to see this family fracture
Yeah, there's reasons why EVERYONE with talent that was on Psychopathic bailed as soon as they could to joing MNE. What is ICP left with? Themselves, and they haven't been good since 2004, Lame Hoodoo, Ouija Crack, and that terrilbe failed experiment with Blahzay Rose? There's DEFINITELY more going on behind the scenes to make everyone want to leave. J is controlling AF and everyone knows it.
I started listening back when Riddle Box was out but kinda lost track with them after Hell's Pit. Had no idea all of this was going on. I saw all of these guys live as individual groups and together as Dark Lotus. Good old days, lol.
I miss the old ICP, before anybody comes for my neck, hear me out: I accidentally got into ICP (Hokus Pokus), I was maybe 10 at the time. I was heavily bullied and they felt like the only safe outlet to be myself and feel welcomed. I didn’t have many friends and came from a fucked up background. So I saw J & Shags as my role models. I never got to go to the Gathering and it’s been a long time goal of mine (24 now as I’m typing), I can’t express how many times that ICP, the music, the family, saved my life. The times I didn’t want to continue, they got me through it. It’s saddens me to see the pain and anger in J still, I miss that magic feeling from what came from Psychopathic. I’ll never forget it. It feels like home, it’s warm and inviting. I got to read the Behind the Paint book by them a while back and it spoke directly to my core, I underrated things change but that’s something I’ll never forget. The reason I say I miss the old ICP is because I miss the whole family feeling and people not fighting each other. The music and meaning brought us together, not the money, not the fame. Twiztid is the shit and I’m down with the clown, dark lotus for life till I’m dead in the ground. WHOOP WHOOP 🤡 MMFWCL
It's because it wasn't just we don't like them type shit its letting someone into you're life and family and then those same ppl you let in they betray you and find out they were always out for themselves
@@RaxiazReduxthey were never close friends. They were co-workers who had to put on an image to sell to their fans so they can make money. Everyone who worked with J ended up hating him after they left.
Poor Violent J, you can definitely hear how upset he is over the betrayal in his voice. I know the feeling of being hurt by someone you considered family.
I was introduced to icp a young age of 8 years old listening to Santa a fat bitch and the great milenko. When the first introduce twiztid I was an instant fan of them and whoever came on the label until about AMB was signed I’ve heard different things from almost everyone except J. Now i still rep both I wish there was a way to squash the beef but looks like he’s firm on fuck twiztid there too much to this story we won’t know besides them
@@Bandana_Boiso you’re saying alllllll the artist that left psy and joined mne or did their own thing all lied about violent j being an asshole and low key creep? Why do so many ppl have bad stories about him but none about shaggy? Seems weird to me.
@@chrstphrluis2206 Everyone one of those artists were close friends with Twiztid before they ever signed to MNE sans AMB - and Twiztid are the only ones who have been talking publicly about ICP, no one else in the MNE camp has said a word but Otis. No one can ever find me a video of Blaze saying how "teŕrible" ICP treated him.
Not gonna lie Twiztid is rhe whole reason I called myself a lo back in the day. I remember going to the gathering back when the wrath dropped seeing it fall on the crowd how happy everyone was. But I couldn't help but remember that Twiztid made the rafters shake the night they closed and how no one else came close to it. Personally I think Twiztid was the next step to what ICP started and ICP just couldn't except that so the bad blood started from the envy.
Nah icp made twiztid better go listen to there music before they met violent J. Twiztid definitely made it better but they needed that guidance they were going a different way.
@@jimberry5318 not saying you're wrong but like I said I personally always looked at Twiztid as the next step doesn't mean they didn't need help nor does it mean that once they blew up that ICP couldn't have gotten jealous of all the love that Twiztid got.
Good point - after all they did bless us with a whole generation of refreshing new dope music and culture that changed the game forever, and they did that as a group.
Violent J almost a decade ago: "Twiztid left because they wanted to be totally independent and stand on their own like ICP does and we respect them for that." Violent J now: "Fuck Twiztid."
Back at that time, they were still close with each other, so J probably didn’t wanna say stuff that would hurt their career, even though behind the scenes he was upset about stuff Also, at that time, ICP still owned the masters to all Twiztid music. So why would J want to hurt their image, that would cost him money, as ICP makes a cut off all albums sold, as they should, they started the label and own it
thats the story i remember for sure and as twiztid put it Violent J stopped promoting them and was focusing on new talent like big Hoodoo and blahzay rose so they wanted to get their own label going and the bad blood only started with the signing of young wicked
Lets not forget the Cash Kidd interview where Kev literally trashed ICP and juggalos. You better delete that video Kev cause we all have it saved on our laptops. Lol 😅
@@massagebroadexactly. Nobody knows who cash kidd is lol. Look up bootleg kev cash kidd, he literally makes fun of icp and juggalos. I hope J knows about that interview.
I felt bad when I found out they beef years ago. But the truth is that I fell off of ICP and everything related to them around 2002 when the Wraith came out. Overall their music as a whole took a different turn there, and I think Mike E Clark leaving had a LOT to do with it. I really respect what Clark has done in terms of the sounds these guys had in the 90s. J and Shaggy are very underrated for their storytelling ability. I loved Twiztid too. I'll never forget the day that I bought Mostateless on cassette. I really loved that album. Outside of Twiztid and Myzery, I never liked any other acts that ICP had. I think that ABK and Boondox, and all that other corny shit all came off as knockoffs of ICP. Basically, all their rappers felt like back yards wrestlers versions of rappers. But I will never forget how much escape I found in ICPs music as a kid. How I would sit for hours and study the beats and the structures of the songs. The rhyme patterns. And it was all digestible through funny and crazy and wacky shit. I'll always remember that my Carnival of Carnage cassette had a metallic blue backing inside. I'll never forget that my Riddle Box cassette was orange. And I cant tell you what any cassettes after Riddlebox looked like, because THAT was the point in history where I switched to CDs. Of ALL of rap music, the highest respect I have in terms of hustle and making money and making their own brand, I have for ICP.
I have to agree, things REALLY changed after Mike E left. He had a major major part in the ICP sound and signatures. Been a fan since COC but Jekyll Brothers was around the last of my real stint with them. Just got too far away from what I really knew and loved. I've still been begging Mike E. for an instrumental release of Pass Me By LOL
Same, after the first six I always was down and still followed ICPs interviews and shit but the music not so much. Same with Twiztid after awhile…I still have my jerseys, and a lot of my old school merch but it’s just not where it was back then and that’s fine I still rock the first 6 and mostasteless, and the green book, mirror mirror etc but I hear you about Mike E Clark
ABK was Native Funk before being part of Psychopathic Records. Violent J didn't come up with his native rap style, it was always part of his style. Twiztid was more accepted in the beginning than Violent J claims, and by the time Freekshow came out, Twiztid had surpassed ICP in quality. J is just a bitter man who suffers with extreme highs and lows. He's a polarizing character that's hard to get along with. There's a reason the guy is surrounded by controversy.
@@anthony6929I can see it in this interview now... He grabbed that water bottle too many times and is talking with a slur and a lot of movement… What a shame.

The whole label left for MNE, when there's a trend you have to look at Psys business. I get the young wicked thing but whys J mad at Blaze or abk or ROC or Boondox? They all have families to feed.
There's no doubt that Violent J is probably an asshole and was probably hard to work under. With that said, it's hard to imagine MNE helps pay the bills any better. MNE will always be in the shadow of Psychopathic and that's a fact.

real juggalos aren't beefing over their beef either BTW. We represent the ENTIRE underground, from psychopathic to MNE to strange music to LLE to every independent opener we've ever seen. I feel bad friendships that were so strong ended the way they did, but that's life.

There was definitely a lot more going on than J. is saying yeah they were paying them but not what they should have been paying them. And also changing lyrics to their songs. It's a shame that he can tell his side of the story and cannot admit to all the wrong ICP did wrong to the other talent. That's why they all left they felt boxed in and used J/S
👏🏻 spot on! I saw Twiztid and did vip when Abominationz came out and I asked them why the marketing, for such an amazing album, was so minimal? They said J (not psychopathic) refused to put money into them and it had been like that for a while (listen to the Green Book). But it is crazy to see J act all righteous cause he signed them and helped them get fame. It’s kinda like your homie who listens to a band, and then the band gets big, and your homie is all pissed cause he is og and everyone else is a poser and ain’t a real fan. Moral of my rant is that J should humble himself a little, and I honestly think his inability to do that now for years, has turned off a ton of people aka Twiztid and any other artist who left the label.
I think the Twiztid shit could be worked out and they never would have to physically interact but ego on both sides are what prevents this. I think even Rob is tired of this shit, Joe needs a little "no" people in his camp to help things work like they used to, but even recently VJ expressed "I'm tired of being told no" which is a shame. The collaborative effort really made that late 99 to 2010 sound and creativity at Psychopathic. Last and best album was Bang Pow Boom, I used to think it was the Amazing Jeckel Brothers but BPB holds the creativity, lyricism and production - and the songs all hold up. Yum Yum has a few gems, the flow and delivery has progressed really well but the overall direction, the planning just isn't there, and I think the tours really take away from knuckles down in the studio for a coherent, unified album. But what's so so today is classic tomorrow. Or cringey. At the end of the day, Joe remains just as creative and talented, I just wish he was challenged more like he was in the Riddlebox, Milenko era.
Violent J has had such bad history with damn near everyone hes ever collabed with and been friends with maybe its time to look in the mirror and ask yourself...is it me...????
Back in the day, Kottonmouth kingz said something positive about Eminem, and J immediately posted to all the Juggalos they should say fuck Kottonmouth….there seems to be a reason why every artist and long term employee has left, Shaggy and J are doing seperate tours after J said he wouldn’t really tour anymore. ICP downplaying the effects that Twiztid and the rest of the crew had on psychopathic and their sales/money is exactly why so many of them left ICP behind. Twiztids beef with AMB signing wasn’t so much about them, but that ICP also told them they had to start paying for their own marketing and publishing. Which made them say what’s the point in being on a label?

J is bitter that Twiztid wanted to grow as much as they could and couldn't do that at psychopathic. If J didn't flip out and just understood they would all still be cool and working together with the 2 labels.
That’s my point in the whole thing they wanted to become self-sufficient they wanted to do what ICP did and creating their own label and being successful J didn’t wanna lose that money, the revenue of their sales. And obviously there was something else going on if all of their good artists left and went to Mne

Same goes with Esham and his people at Reel Life/Gothom, as well as any horrorcore artist who has the talent in my eyes. Fuck this beef though! Breaks my heart.
This is highly debatable. Yes they brought on Twiztid. Twiztid greatly helped bring the rap skills with the wicked shit that Juggalos love. AMB was later and yes the first time I saw them live to the last time I saw them live was like night and day. I dont blame Twiztid at all for saying "Fuck that" at first. Much props to Twiztid for giving them a chance especially Young Wicked. Twiztid is just as talented if not more and is doing great as far as I'm concerned. Even the recent LP Songs of Samhain was not only dope AF but had all of the other major original artists on it. ICP can't say that. Much love to both. #Twiztid

It's not that simple though, is it? When one is a close business associate and the other is not only a close family member, but the daughter of one of the heads of the business and niece of another, you just have to know not to go there. Even when the father finds out and gives him a second chance, and he still keeps doing it? That's low life behavior.

Apparently things turned badly back in the days, way before the departure of Twiztid and Blaze during a Lotus tour, J lost his mind and wanted to punch Paul.
I met Jaimie, Mono, and blaze in Missoula, MT in the early 2000s. It was pretty chilly and i was in shorts. All the dick riders surrounded the tour bus to see Jaimie while my buddy and I shared a joint with blaze. After jaimie got on the bus everyone left. I told my friend "i aint leavin until i meet mono". So we waited for like an hour when across the parking lot two dudes, no paint, started walking towards us. I felt the excitement build up and as the one dude pulled the hood of his jacket off his head, i heard the voice of Mono say "aint you motherfuckers cold !?!?". I was so happy and excited i yelled out "not anymore!!! Whats up dawg!?" I got to talk with him for about 5 minutes before they left. I still have my Twiztid weed leaf print flatbill signed by all 3 of them. Ill never forget that night for the rest of my life.

I have respect for both MNE and psychopathic records but to hear Violent J vent about these tensions is heartbreaking to me I hope they reconcile because the both of them were great together back then!
One thing no one can say to ICP, is that they didn't do this themselves. They started their own thing, their own label, their own festival and more. They may not be for everyone but they've done so much good shit.

I just liked em a lot. I feel off psychopathic for a long time. Just recently started coming back, and I'm seeing all this beef going on and shit. It's sad that everyone betrayed them like this. Yes, everyone's allowed to do their own thing, and part ways from their original label. Nothing wrong with that. Even if that label made them and gave them loyalty everything they had. It happens. But I'm sure there's a lot more to it than just them leaving. And that's what hurts fr. But the whole thing with dude from AMB hooking up with J's niece? That's fucked up. Guess he was really bout that "Scrub Life", huh?
J is leaving out alot i mean twiztid got better after finding him yes but twiztids talent elevated through the years and that had nothing to do with J and he needs to understand that
I've sort of been off the Psychopathic bandwagon for over a decade now and just watching the first minute of this video where J says the words, "Fuck Twiztid"... blows my fucking mind. ICP and Twiztid were like inseparable brothers!!!
As an ex fan of all these guys and just stumbled on to this, he's lying about the juggalos not responding to twiztid when they first debuted on tour. Man, everyone ate that shit up. They were the heirs apparent. I hated the panda facepaint, but fans LOVED it and started dressing like them for shows. J also didn't come up with Anybody Killa's native gimmick, he was literally rapping as Native Funk with native facepaint before joining the label, J didnt go "Hey Native Funk, my idea is to make you a native rapper" lol
I waited so long for the day twiztid would leave psychopathic. Unfortunately it was too late. Twiztid would’ve made it a lot bigger if they didn’t go with psy. They’re 30Xs more talented than ICP could ever dream of.
@@makv6894I agree 100% icp might have started all this but Twiztid and Blaze and the rest helped them grow to where they are. Twiztid better rappers. Better story telling. And it just says so much seeing that everyone from psychopathic left to join Twiztid. I think Js ego is the problem and needs to swallow his pride. There is a lot of money to be made in them just squashing this beef and ending this juggalo civil war. Would love to see Twiztid show up at the gathering and them hug it out in front of the Family.
@@chrishoover2681 ICP's height of their mainstream popularity were solo. They went over first decade growing and growing. They would have survived without them, and been doing fine without them for the last 10 years as well.
I can also understand as a person myself that some of these close people to you can not be good for you and other people don't need to understand. Whoop Whoop to all...
J is all over the fucking place with these accusations. He sounds so goddamn out of breath as well. I dont think he even remembers what even happened anymore
The thing was once records went away and money got tight, relationships got tested. I'd imagine it took a minute to educate themselves on how this digital shit works. Marketing, album sales, etc, even J admits it took a minute to catch on the new way of how music is being sold. Idk man.. it's a shame, but I was only bumpin' Blaze, ABK, Twiztid & everyone else because ICP gave them the stamp. And to me, C17 all the way from Ouija to Hexxx to Darby all the way to Psychopathic with ICP, they're doing dope shit.
