Throughout the series on what i saw he always looked at her with a heartbroken expression-not for himself but for her- his eyes were always swimming with sorrow and guilt.

I just finished watching it. I fell in love with major Gilbert Bougainvillea even though there's just few appearance of him. I hope he's really alive. I cried a lot throughout 14 episodes 😊😂😭

Violet Evergarden is without a doubt the best anime series that I've ever watched. It's just aesthetically gorgeous and beautiful in almost every way possible💙💙💙

Never has a show made me cry more than this did. I’ve never really liked my life, but the reason is stupid. Everyone has faced some sort of hardship, but I haven’t. I’ve practically been given everything I’ve wanted. I don’t know what it is like to be truly sad, I don’t know what it is like to lose something dear. But some shows, make me feel like I’m sharing their emotions. And it makes me feel better. (Like I told you, STUPID)

I think the message is love doesn't know numbers whether it's age or something else love is always patient and kind it is never jealous nor concided. I think that this anime grasped the message beautifully

So much work

The overexaggeration of what it's like to be discharged into civilian population and trying to be normal after years in the military after getting out is expected because it's anime. That being said, thank you for this. I don't care about the shipping. I care about the story it laid out, and it's sadder because it's only slightly overexaggerated and not just fairy tale.
