wow, didn't expect him to say he wished he practiced more from 12-18. i'm in the exact same predicament, super helpful to hear that from such an accomplished violinist!

as much as I never was a huge fan of his playing, his answers really show that he's a positive thinker and definitely has great focus and understands what he wants in life and the steps it takes to achieve it. I gotta admire that.

I had the honor of attending one of his concerts when I was in high school and I met him afterwards. He was very kind and a joy to talk with.

I got to see Joshua Bell a year ago as soloist and guest conductor of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, with a great program that included Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto. It was a wonderful experience. The thing you can really feel about him is a sense of energy. I'm looking forward to seeing "Joshua Bell: At Home with Music" on PBS today. Apparently he's been using COVID-19 downtime to work on his basketball playing skills with his kids!

Kudos to his mother for letting her son drive 250 km/h at 19 years old. My mother would have had a heart attack. Maybe 10 years later, that would have been okay.

Roger Andrade Take it to a nearby luthier. Unfortunately, chances are, it will not be a Stradivarius.

So, let's assume just for a second it really was a real Strad and you would have asked for help on youtube. I am not often speechless, but in this case i definitely would make an exception. ;)
