Here's a good tip for using the "silk" threads....buy the Thread Zapper II to "cut" the threads so that they don't unravel. I sometimes run them through some sewing wax so they are easier to manage. If i dont use wax they are like flying all over the place wanting to constantly knot. When finally finished, don't iron with a hot iron after washing or the threads could melt. Love cats too. I have 3 indoor kitties and 12 barn kitties. The barn kitties are as spoiled as the indoor ones. Love them all ❤ I haven't stitched a Mona Lisa yet but I do have one with silks I haven't done yet.
