The SMV CC-64 Vipera is Italy's premium Tier VIII tank destroyer, the first of its kind for this nation. The frontal part of the hull is not well armored. And if on average you can count on 250-270 mm, taking into account the given armor in the VLD, then the NLD has a lower strip protected by as much as... 20 mm. This means that knowledgeable opponents can load it with a high-explosive projectile, and since the layout of the modules is dense, this can lead to dire consequences.
Strong dispersion and long aiming with an incredibly long reload of the drum are compensated by the ability to deal up to 2000 damage to the enemy in 24 seconds. This allows you to destroy almost any enemy, even if he is of a higher level. Just a few hits will be enough to cause heavy damage.
