That's my guess. Being Dutch I would have expected you, of all people, to be a little more savvy in the art of controling water. Yes, their enthusiasm and excitement is a bit foolhardy but no one was hurt just the same. Well, except for some youtube commenters who's sensibilities have gone awry.

I think this was intentional. The flooded area reached equilibrium with the water source pretty quickly, indicating it was contained, as in a pool. No one looks concerned because they wanted to widen the lake or divert the river, whatever the body of water is. Or am I missing something?

More likely the water is saying - "one moment and I'll be right with you"
