Is anyone else having serious flashbacks to SNL's skit "The Californians"? These guys are the living and breathing embodiments of everything that skit represents - I love them!
It's an act. They are SoCal comedians and that's their "dumb surfer dude white boy who wants to just party" act. It is hilarious and have gotten them to this stage this far. They do standup as well among other things including a podcast and Chad does these hilarious Instagram daily motivate stories.
It's the hype man. Every talk show has one. Look up Steve Harvey's hype man name Reuben. He's hilarious. He's always challenging the guests to dance contest.
I was born outside California, lived in California for 8 years, then moved away...and a lot of California dudes ARE a version of this and talk a certain way. This is just an extreme versio obviously. You just don't realize it because you live there, but it's super easy to pick out someone from California in a crowd. .
I first saw them on a recent episode of Hawaii 5.O. I did not know the characters they were portraying are either really them or the characters they continue to portray in front of cameras and mics.
My dogs. Ellen roasting Chad's pride and joy - his bronze - was so painful to watch, but nothing gets me more amped than to watch my boys up on the big stage with a true Aphrodite! Stay stoked my dogs. I just can't wait to listen about this on the pod!
