Virgin Airbus A350-1000 G-VLUX training at Glasgow Airport

On Monday 19th of August I took the opportunity to head up to Glasgow Airport to film Virgin Atlantics newest addition to the fleet their first Airbus A350-1000 G-VLUX.
The airline is conducting a series of daily training flights at Glasgow to familiarise their pilots with the aircraft before entering service on their Heathrow to New York JFK route from 10th of September.
It was so good to see this big, velvet, beautiful bird landing and departing every hour throughout the day.

Absolutely beautiful. How I will miss the gorgeous A346's but the A350 is a worthy successor. Thanks for catching her for us.

I live on the flight path and have been watching this beauty land since Sunday. I'm super excited to be going to the airport tomorrow to watch her on the runway before she leaves later this week!

You really got fantastic video footage of G-VLUX . Awesome that you were in close proximerty to the airfield , and the airplane as she taxied and manuvered on the apron and taxy ways. She really is a good looking plane .The A340-600 ( my favourite Airbus airplane )followed by the A350-1000. The A340-600 has a longer fuselage , a wider wing span , and a higher tail fin than the A350-1000 .

It really was fantastic to film it all day. Thats right, in comparison to the A340-600 I do think the A350 is a great replacement. Such a great machine.

1. This is a lovely footage 2. I love the A35K 3. They will replace the good old A346s and B744s by 2022😭😭😭 4. You should go to Toulouse someday, there are soooooo many airbus planes that are being built (without the normal traffic, of course)!! The only Boeing planes flying there are the Volotea 717s and the Ryanair 737s.

@@JonathanWinton123 exactly plus it was always a larger plane on that route historically B747 or A340 until was replaced by B787-9 which isn't a bag thing

Definitely. Given the choice between a B787-9 and an A350, I'd choose the A350 every time.
