Definitely one of your best videos. Really enjoyed seeing you having a great time, with such a nice crew and a really nice aircraft. Makes me wanna fly with Virgin in their upperclass, but this may get pretty expensive :/
I'd love to support you, but I'd only be able to do so by using your TV channel, and it doesn't look like I can get a yearly subscription. Any ideas? It would be so much easier if an annual subscription could be offered. I'd really love to listen to this entire flight here, too. Did you hear the difference in the audio with the new GoPro7? I tried to listen to another one of your older videos, and after an hour, I had to take off the headphones and just leave it running from the speakers, because I could no longer tolerate the compressed audio. My ears rang and hissed for 6 hours after just listening to it for one hour. It brought me back to when I was a kid, and I had a pair of a.m. radio headphones, and my doctor said I had to restrict my use of them to no more than an hour a day, because I'd developed so much earwax. I thought he was kidding me, but now I really do know he wasn't. I need my hearing like you need your sight. I also found out that it wasn't just me. When sound is severely compressed to travel up into the cocleo-vestibular region where the inner ear is, it can compress the fluid in the inner ear where the vestibular nerve is, and according to a chiropractor I worked with some years back, this is why my ears hissed and rang so loudly, even with the volume at 80 decibels. It didn't get much better at 70 several days later. So now we know.
I really enjoy flying Virgin Atlantic when I have the opportunity to. I find their cabin crew to be some of the most friendliest in the skies. Keeping my fingers crossed that they survive this current pandemic.
I was on a jet 2 A330 flying back home to Manchester from Lanzarote. we flew through the night and it turned my birthday. the crew gave me a birthday cake, asked the captain where we were flying over and let me go into the cockpit as everyone was exiting the aircraft.
Sam chui is basically a scam he’s airlineist basically he only has amazing views and opinions on the airlines that he uses the most mainly the expensive ones that’s how for some reason all the cabin crews seem to know his name and any other airline which aren’t the expensive ones are bad or scary or just not good enough
Like many others,I cant say I was a fan of the seat configuration but apart from that the whole flight experience form London to LA looked and sounded impeccable
@04:24 ... french fries served in a tin cup eaten with a fork and dipped in ketchup. HAHAHAHAHA! And with a glass of wine! Laughing so hard I'm almost crying. This is comedic gold!
Loved my upper class Virgin Atlantic flight from Heathrow to Los Angeles. My premium economy flight from LAX to Heathrow was quite good, too. The 787 is a great aircraft with a great airline.
I know this was a long time ago but I do like the seating config, easier for me to get into rather than straight forward with something in the way between the seat and the aisle. Service you really could not fault.
This is a great review thank you! Im ‘flying club gold’ and fly virgin upper class regularly and find their product and service to be amongst the best out there especially on the North Atlantic routes. The herringbone layout doesn’t bother me and even though you can crane your neck to see out the window, let’s face it for most of the flight there isn’t much to see out there anyway aside from water and ice! Plus side is everyone has direct isle access and if your recline your seat fully it’s very private indeed. I get the feeling those that complain haven’t experienced it in real life. After seeing the crew make the bed a few times, I usually do it myself as it’s pretty easy but you do have to get up as it flips over. The food, staff and clubhouse lounges are amongst the best in my opinion. The only downsides are the older a340s which are being phased out are starting to look a bit tired and it seems to be getting harder and harder to book reward flights in Upper. I am looking forward to trying out their new A350 suites though. Keep up the good work
I used to be a very frequent flyer on Virgin Atlantic between London and Shanghai and vide versa. I absolutely loved it. Compared to British Airways, the competing company for nonstop flights between London and China, it was amazing. Upper class is great, but even premium is good as well.
The flight looked really nice. The service seemed great, the airline's staff and crew were all very friendly, yet professional, the plane's cabin looked well appointed and the lighting was lovely. The food and drinks looked delicious and plentiful. So from what saw in the video, the whole experience flying Virgin seemed almost perfect....almost.. because for a lot of people, being able to see out of the window, is an important aspect of the flying experience and it would be a disappointment to have such a nice flight, but be missing that one thing. Isn't there a way that they can keep the seating area private while still allowing the passenger to the ability to look out the window if they chose to?
I flew Manchester to Orlando in economy and it was superb. Excellent legroom, TWO windows to one seat, staff, food, service, all excellent. From what I've seen of the business class I wouldn't waste my money on all that unnecessary molly-coddling; especially with the window behind the seat. Really??!!
Virgin Atlantic are my favourite airline, I use them for flights from London to Shanghai. All classes are exceptional, and the service is second to none. I've flown many airlines, VA are way up there.
My virgin Atlantic flight lax to heathrow premium economy was almost the equivalent of business class on other airlines. The cabin crew attentiveness was outstanding. Never had to ask for a refill on my beverage of choice. This was 4 years ago.
Virgin are the best airline i have flown with, one thing i always make sure of is that i sit on the opposite side of the aircraft to the one thats going to be facing the sun, as it can be a nuisance in flight
Great report! Awesome price! Perfekt! Looking very forward to see your next trips, especially Singapore to Los Angeles with 17 hours on the A350! This one is one of your top 5 reports!
Hi Noel, been watching your flights for a while now and extremely happy you made it on to my airline finally and above all enjoyed it! What flight are you on with us next month? I’ll see if I can work it and get you some exclusive behind the scenes stuff!
Love the lounge and the pre take off from the Skipper !! What a great flight and the vision of the aircraft crossing below was brilliant! For the price...outstanding!! Great review yet again!
If you book the Virgin upper class, make sure you book the seats on the left side of the plane, there's far more privacy and you wouldn' have to look at a stranger's feet for the duration of your flight. Also, the head massage isn't free anymore. I was told there's a charge for the head massage.
COULDN'T AGREE MORE!!! My international flight to London via Virgin Atlantic was the single best experience of my life flying. Great food, great flight attendants, great airplanes, great service from top to bottom. *The flight back home on Delta, however, was the trip from Hell.* Old planes, bad food, unfriendly flight attendants, and simply getting through Delta security to get on the plane was like a scene right out of a bad World War II movie in Germany, if you get my meaning. I'll never fly Delta again, ever.
Thank you so much for this video. We are flying Heathrow to Vegas September 2021 ! Think I will get the full treatment at the lounge 😊 Thank You again. 🍻
In my humble opinion Virgin Atlantic Upper class is the best business class in the world. Much better than Emirates that I recently flew to Australia.Staff were so much more friendly and attentive.I had the best pan fried sea bass that I have ever eaten on my flight from Delhi in April 2019.
Because you can fit more business class seats into the space than if you do traditional business seating. 10000000 times better than BA's crappy seating arrangement in business.
Ruby Murray was actually a woman who was from Belfast who was a very well known singer in the 1950s love the video as I'm heading on the same route in a few weeks for business so cannot wait thanks again look forward too the lounge I must say lol
Wow what a superb flight and not forgetting that superb lounge! Not sure about the seat though as I like to look out the window. I tend to fly the opposite of POSH across the Atlantic Starboard Out and Port Home to keep the sun out of my face. Going to San Fran though in new year and will sit on Port side as aircraft on approach passes Golden Gate Bridge and city from approaching from the north
The service looked great, the staff, on the ground and in the air looked great and the product is not as bad as British Airways, but close. I like a window seat to be a window seat. With the walled-off centre (center) seats, it looks like your feet are sticking out into a railway carriage corridor.
Job interveiw is nice with vorvin it so quiet calm we had to do jingle a lsdy whobwas middle aged then had idea to do cocoa coa i couldnt ding but we did it its funny.
Not keen on the layout either, but I'll find out for myself as we're going Upper Class too and from Havana in November. Virgin is the only direct flight from UK, and only Suns and Thurs. Rest of the holiday is a bargain! Will be interesting - only flew Prem Econ with Bransonair previously. Found them average tbh.
I’ve binge watched most of your videos Noel, just wondering you’ve had a lot of meals on board, which airline does the best food? Also, please do a video flying from Liverpool.
Beautiful journey, and I would love to take a similar one myself. The food looked amazing, and I'm sure I would go for an extra burger. 😂 My only complaint is that you had to arrive at LAX 😫😫 It is the worst major international airport that I've been to. I know that they are currently working on improvements, and I hope they are successful. Because... damn. That airport sucked.
Their First Class service is superb but the F/C seating sucks ! You feel like you are sitting in the aisle. Until they change that I will not fly their F/C .
Hi Noel, thanks for this. I have to travel to Shanghai for business and have the option of BA club world - not suite or Virgin Upper class. I think the latter is better but is it worth be forgoing tier points with BA and avios as I’m a big collector. Would love to hear your thoughts!
If one phrase comes to mind (after watching that lady constantly sticking her head in the shot behind you) it would be "Photo-bomber" - something never to be uttered on a plane.
