I completely forgot that I upgraded to Virgin's M500 broadband service. So, I thought I'd make a quick video to see if the upgrade was successfull and hopefully to see if the speed claims were valid.
I'm also on the M500 package. I'm using my own ASUS router with the Hub 4 as a Modem. I'm getting 552-556Mbps consistently. For those of you on VM, I would strongly recommend using the VM Hub as a Modem and buy a good ASUS router. I've had it since September 1st and it's been great.
hey buddy been looking at switching to virgin from other shitty services either way saw your comment. Just wanted to clarify something you might not know but may find interesting. 362Mbps is 362 MegaBITS per second. One MegaBYTE = 8 MegaBITS. So if your download is 362 Mbps it is 45 MegaBytespersecond (roughly) it means its working fine and how it should be. If youre getting 45 megabits then you do have an issue and i am sorry for that and i please reply so i know and understand to not switch to an underperforming product.
@@Bajaisus It's all very area dependent. I've had virgin for years, once in a while signal will go down for a day (happened once in 2022) but other than that I'm getting consistent speed
Yes I did. The adaptors are great for extending internet however I also now need to move large files at greater speed. So, wired was the obvious choice.
Are you happy with it, any regrets?...I'm thinking about switching to Virgin to a package similar to yours...My current ISP is with BT who can only offer me 70mb download, 18mb upload...
They offered me 1gbp for £6 extra and im currently only on 100mb, considering on the website the highest upgrade I could do was 350 for 16 extra i snapped that offer up instantly, such a good deal. 900mb more for £6.. i thought he made a mistake at first. Livechat is the way to go when upgrading for sure
