Virgin Trains Class 390 Pendolino Units at Rugeley Trent Valley | Wednesday 24th August 2016 

Filmed on a fine and sunny summers day, Wednesday 24th August 2016 at Rugeley Trent Valley Station, a number of Virgin Trains Class 390 Pendolino units were noted passing the camera.
Six years after these images were recorded and the scene here today is very different. Gone is Virgin Trains, replaced with a new West Coast Operator, Avanti West Coast. Gone too is the imposing landmark of Rugeley Powers Station, one which is seen prominently in the background has now completely disappeared from the skyline. The site closed just a few months before this video was taken, and the last remnants, the cooling towers were demolished in June 2021.
