I hope yall enjoyed this EPIC vlog of my most epic week on board the Valiant Lady! Have you ever cruised with Virgin before? Where did you go? Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more of my Virgin Voyages content coming soon!
This is so helpful as we’re taking this cruise in August. Did you do the COVID testing at the port or prior to in town? If it was in town please let us know. Thank you
@@sgonzales35 we actually bought test kits that you take yourself on a telehealth call and brought them with us that the cruise lines and the airlines accept, this was when the US also required Covid tests to fly back home. Made it super easy but they’re kinda pricey, it’s a set of 6 for about $150 but I believe you can have your health insurance reimburse you for at least some of that cost. You could also just get it done at home before you leave if your departure is 72 hrs or less from the time you are supposed to board the ship. Hope that helps!!! I have a whole other video coming tomorrow with a lot more just in depth info on this cruise and more things to know :)
@@MissMooreStyle thank you a we’re still deciding if we do the e cursuons that’s Virgin is offering or wi g it. I’ll wait for your videos. By the way did you make it to the casino in Monte Carlo?
@@sgonzales35 we didn’t!! We might have tried but I really wanted to go to the Cannes film festival and it was happening then…the director of photography for a film I’m currently working on was there too so it was just kind of a kismet thing but I did hear from some other sailors that they rented some motorcycles and rode over there for the day
My son joedel del rosario is one of the crew employees at valiant lady cruiseship he is a crew cabin thereat now that's why i am enjoying to see your vlog🥰
I cruised on Valiant Lady from the UK back in May, and all I could think of was how good the ship would perform in warmer weather - the outdoor areas were fantastic, with seating EVERYWHERE! Glad you enjoyed!
Oh yeah, I can’t imagine it being cold, all the best places to hang out were outside imo!!! Probably also makes things feel more crowded if everyone is staying inside id bet
Hi Jessica - So happy you celebrated your birthday on a cruise! I know how much you and Nathan love to travel. Can't wait to see your individual port videos. Apologies I haven't been commenting but I just got back from 2 months in Spain - and yes I went to Ibiza too!! I thought you looked so chic on the ship - all your outfits were just fab. Loved the travel log and how you showcased Virgin Cruises - top quality. Belated - Happy Birthday! 🎉💕
Helen hi!!! Welcome back!! That’s amazing…where in Spain were you? I wish we would’ve had more time in Ibiza, what a beautiful island! It was a really fun cruise 🚢
@@MissMooreStyle We spent a month in Madrid - taking quite a bit of day trips by train (Segovia, El Escorial, Avila, Toledo, Cuenca), but mostly enjoying the city - we rented an Airbnb which was just great! Then we spent a month going to Salamanca (Gorgeous) Malaga (I want to live here and in Seville), Cartegena, Palma de Mallorca (a very chic island - also has a party scene), and Ibiza (5 nights that needs to stay there - it was out of this world!!). We recently started cruising and we are converts. Nothing like not having to pack & unpack to go see different countries/cities. All creature comforts at your fingertips - I think it's a wonderful way to travel!
@@helencousins2911 wow that sounds like an incredible month! And yes I agree about how easy cruises are…I do wish tho sometimes they’d stay in the ports a day or two longer but other than that, so easy as far as being able to hit multiple places with very little effort
Great video. We are SO looking forward to our VV cruise next year. One nautical note for you which you may have figured out during the cruise: the port side is just the left side of the ship. Not necessarily the side they dock on.
❤️❤️ this! What an amazing time! I have yet to cruise with this cruise line. I was waiting to see how enjoyable the experience was for you. Happy Belated Birthday! 🥳🎉🎂 Tfs 🌴🌹🌴
Absolutely loved this. we are headed to Barcelona on 27th of this month for three nights before embarking Valiant Lady on 21st for 7 nights - honestly cannot wait, and your vlog has made me even more excited. Managed to book one of the mega rockstar suites - so, am sure it will be so much fun....Terry
You are going to be sailing in luxury!!! I actually just published a barcelona travel guide today if you want to check that out for some inspo before you embark! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hOil4k3C6w8.html
So true…but I’d argue you really see how high it is when you’re actually on the net looking down at the wake haha my husband wouldn’t even go out on it
Looked amazing. I took a 4 night voyage on Scarlet Lady last summer, no port calls just 3 days at sea which was fantastic for exploring the ship. We'll be sailing on Valiant Lady this September, can't wait
Oh how cool I didn’t realize they do sailings where they just are sailing the whole time with no stops. I bet that’s really relaxing! Where are you going on valiant lady?
Thank you for this great video! I am cruising on that ship on a slightly different itinerary on early August! I wasnt considering going into Test Kitchen, but you have changed my mind! Very informative!
That an amazing video! Me and my husband are doing the French Daze and Ibiza nights June of 2023 for my 40th! This made me really excited! The only problem, is this made me way too excited with 11 months to go! 😅
I went on my first VV last week for my birthday while on board I booked the Barcelona Mediterranean itinerary for Sept 2023. I'm really kicking myself that I didn't think to book the French daze during the time the Cannes film festival would take place! That would've been so amazing for me! I'm curious how you got the Rockstar and rooftop access while being booked in a sea terrace? For some reason I thought the rooftop was only for suites. Awesome vlog!
Hey Anna! Virgin voyages are so much fun arent they? I should’ve made it less confusing on the vlog about richards rooftop but the reason we got access to that and weren’t in a rockstar suite was because I was working with VV on this cruise, so they gave us the black wristbands so we could experience and shoot everything on board, hope that makes sense!
@@MissMooreStyle Love your videos and your fashion choices might I add. TY for clearing that up about the rooftop access. Im wondering if I purchase the Experience package will i get the same access? We're doing the same cruise the week after the film fest. Cant wait.
@@AnnnnnaQ thank you!!! I’m so excited bc I’m going to be back on the valiant lady in a couple months but this time doing the western Caribbean charm cruise out of Miami :)
@@Quianawilson8 hey Nichole, thanks so much for the style compliment 🥰🥰 you’re going to have a blast! I’m not sure about the experience package tbh. I’d recommend calling the VV customer service and asking them….I called them several times before my voyage with questions and they were really informative/helpful!
This video (and the follow-ups!) were SO helpful, thank you! I love your vlogging style. This was the video that convinced us to book :) Although we'll be doing the Irresistible Med since that lined up better. Thank you! (also obsessed with your first dress)
🥰🥰 thanks aj!!! I love hearing that! These are my favorite kind of videos to make :) irresistible med looked so cool too it was really a hard decision between that one and this one! I think the only stop those have in common is ibiza…I should have that vlog up soon!
Why did you go to the Rockstar orientation if you were only staying in a Sea Terrace, which isn't considered one of Virgin's RockStar Quarters? There's certainly nothing wrong with only booking a Sea Terrace. I'd almost DEFINITELY never book one of the RockStar cabins. But, nonetheless, what was the deal with you going to the orientation? Were you just sitting in there too check out what it offers in case you may want to book that type of cabin for a future voyage?
I was working with virgin on this cruise to create content for them so although I was in a sea terrace, they gave us rockstar bands so we could experience every part of the ship to create content. And the orientation was super helpful for making sure all our dinner and show and activity reso’s were properly squared away, which of course you can do on deck 7 at any time but awesome to just get it all taken care of right off the bat
I agree - i was disappointed with pink agave....i wanted normal burritos etc but for vegetarian options...the stuffex pepper/potatoe was ok, sweetcorn ok...but the yuka potatoes were not nice and overall i missed not having normal little soft tacos/burritos....The meal didnt really work for a vegetarian...whereas razzle dazzle, the wake, test kitchen and the galley were amazing
Haven’t been on VV yet, but am this winter on the Valiant Lady out of Miami! Great review, super helpful video as I want to do this itinerary, too. Thanks so much for the amazing content.
Oh wow, valiant lady out of Miami but with this itinerary…is it a transatlantic cruise that then goes into this itinerary then? Also stay tuned bc my port vlogs are coming out soon..:will be dropping the first from marseille tomorrow :)
Looks like you had a blast! It's a much more modern, authentic experience than let's say Carnival or Royal, which to me are very dated, cheesy, typical cruise thing. Also Barcelona has to be my favorite place in Europe. Great videos, great editing and you guys know what to film. 👍
I am planning to go on this cruise next year maybe....SO glad I came across your channel. You are amazing thank you so much for this and the videos on the ports as well!
Wow it looks like you had a great trip. I'm glad I found you. I will follow you on IG. You definitely showed a lot of what is happening on the ship. I would like to see your day in Ibiza. How can we see your "excursions"? I'm glad to see there is a great range of ages and not just old people or just young, young people.
Little bit of a special situation…since I was working with virgin voyages to create content on this trip they gave us that access so we could experience everything
Hola! Awesome video! Looking into the French Daze, Ibiza Nights cruise on the Valiant Lady. I noticed you are the Sea Terrace Cabin, how did you get the Rockstar Quarters amenities/black wristband?
Hey Sandra! Thanks for watching!!! We got these wristbands because I was working with virgin on this cruise to create content for them so they gave us those so we’d have access to the whole ship to be able to do that :)
So glad I stumbled upon your RU-vid! I set sail on this exact cruise on Sunday and your videos have me really excited about this trip! Quick question: would you recommend exchanging some cash for euros prior to trip? I’m worried some places won’t take card and I don’t want to miss out on something because of that. Thanks again for your awesome videos!
I would def recommend that! I do that here in town (Los Angeles) every time I go to Europe regardless because I know a place where I can get the best exchange rate. Usually your bank can exchange money for a good rate too. I don’t think we ended up needing our euros a ton on our cruise port days (we spent some time in Barcelona before the trip and went to Paris afterwards) but it’s always great to be prepared. Lucky you the USD to euro exchange rate is so good right now!
Hey hey! Love the video. I’ll be on this ship next year but I wanted to know if you paid extra to the VIP. I didn’t see that when I initially booked or is this something that comes up on the app closer to your date to leave? Thank you!
So the only way to be vip is to be in one of the rockstar suites and above. I was hired by virgin to come create content for them so they gave us this access so that we could experience everything. Hope that helps!
Hi Jessica! How did you get the perks of rockstar status, particularly access to Richards rooftop, with staying in a sea terrace room? I plan on getting the splash of romance package to get early boarding but I heard they don't do the exclusive sail away party at Richards rooftop like they used to. I'm trying to find a cheaper way to get access to that part without having to book a suite 😂
Hi Traci! I was working with Virgin on this cruise to create content for them, so they gave us access to Richard’s rooftop so we could experience every part of the ship. Hope that helps!!
We are taking this exact Valiant Lady cruise next month. I was wondering if you had any trouble finding taxi's? Especially to get back to the boat late after the Club? Thank you!
No, there was no shortage of taxis outside pacha and in and around Ibiza town. We didn’t go outside of Ibiza town so I can’t speak for the areas like San Antonio but it seems like there are taxis aplenty
There definitely are quiet spaces. The dock house on the back of the ship is nice. The pool area is also chill for the most part, they do have a dj during the daytime some days but they’re usually spinning some chill music it’s not like the vibe of a Vegas day pool party. There’s also Sip lounge that is very chill throughout the entire day/night. In general I’d say the vibe during the day is pretty chill/laid back all over the ship
@@MissMooreStyle good to know, thanks! I’ve never been on a cruise and like you said in another video I always assumed I’m just not a cruise person but Virgin looks really fun. Being someone that doesn’t drink or party too much, I had worried it would be too much of a party ship. After watching several videos I don’t think that’s true but had wondered about the decks and quiet spaces. Thanks !
You can disembark as early as 6:30am, actually. Our flight out was at 9:20 am and we were the first ones off the ship, got a taxi right there in the port and got to the airport with plenty of time, just make sure when you’re on your cruise and they open up the time slots on the app to disembark that you grab the earliest ones and you’ll be fine
Thanks for this. Do they charge you for the liquor at the Korean restaurant drinking game? Or can you opt out? We aren’t huge drinkers and that would be awkward to sit there as the rest of the table is playing. Thank you.
I liked your video because it had great info and video and design. But also importantly - you DIDN'T SHOUT FOR THE ENTIRE VIDEO (unlike most American youTubers). #thankyou !!
Haha, wow I haven't noticed that a lot of American youtubers shout a lot but I guess in general americans are kind of known for being loud in general. 😂😬 Thanks for watching! I'm so stoked bc I'm going to be sailing on the scarlet lady in January :)
They do not, so it makes getting on and off the ship super easy. You just need to be wearing your wristband that they give you when you embark, it has all your passport/visa info stored on there that they can see when you tap it on the machine when you leave and come back. They will check your bags when you return but it’s usually a pretty quick process
Thanks for this great video! I'm wondering if it's necessary to book excursions in advance or if you can wait until onboard too book. I don't want to risk them selling out but also want to use onboard credit for these. Also wondering what the price point is for everything approximately. If you can let me know, that would be super! thank you :)
So you can absolutely wait to book with your onboard credits but depending on the excursion and it’s popularity, you do risk it selling out before the voyage starts. We waited to book our atv excursion on our Caribbean VV until we got on board for the same reason and were able to book it on the first day of the voyage but it does seem like a lot of the excursions get sold out before the voyage. so it’s up to you if you want to take that risk or not. As to your second question about the price point of everything what do you mean exactly? The drinks, the excursions…?
@@jya811 the prices are the same whether you pay for them now, or later. I will say, the med excursions seem way pricier than the Caribbean ones, which I guess makes sense BUT not that this will help with utilizing your onboard credits but a lot of these excursions are things that are offered by tour companies not necessarily connected to virgin, but tour companies they partner with in these ports. Check around on get your guide or viator and see if you can find the same kind of excursion/experience there bc usually it’s so much cheaper that way! Obviously you can’t use your onboard credits if you go that route but the savings difference might be worth it and you can use your on board credits for drinks, a blowout at the salon, spa services etc
No we just did the French daze Ibiza nights. Irresistible med was my second choice but I just liked that the one we went on focused more on the south of France which was an area I’ve wanted to see more of
You’re correct! We had this status because I was working with virgin to create social media content for them on this trip, so they granted me rockstar status so I could fully experience everything :)
I came here to ask the s e question :-) Was hoping there was as a “Rockstar Loophole “ Will just have to wait and see if the nice people at Virgin Voyages take our upgrade offer for Irresistible Med cruise in August :>)
@@eyecandie2004 ohhh it’s kind of a very pinky red. It’s a lipstick that doesn’t quit, the maybelline superstay 24hr lipstick in eternal cherry amzn.to/3OheQz4

@@beachfrog5326 There were a lot of couples, but i also saw a lot of larger groups of what seemed like friends or maybe families (sans younger kids) traveling together
The worst cruise ever. OMG I hated the boat and it was like a freak show. The shows was all about DRAG and Tucking. The boat configuration is terrible. I wouldn't go back for free.
😂 oh look, a karen named karen!!! Sounds like it’s not the cruise for you since you seem to not be very accepting of people who are different from you. That’s ok, go enjoy carnival and leave virgin to those of us who like to have fun!
