I helped my big brother too during hard times. It was hard but worth it. He was clean for so many years and helped others from then on. He got therapy and lots of help and he did it.Saved his life. He would not mind me telling the story cuz he told it alot to others to help them. He wanted to get help though. Thank you Butch! I will be careful. I dont know for sure who this maybe for me. Yup- it’s been hot/cold since I’ve known him. (2016). Still stuck on negative thinking, still living w/ sum1 & doesn’t hav his own place. . Won’t open up abt his feelings but wants me to confess my love to him. I was hopeful things would get better & we would progress together. I’m tired of allowing him to come/go & drain my energy. I give of myself emotionally & get nothing but frustration from him. I been seeing the 🚩. Classic narc😳.

My ex girl is avoident & more things absolute poison to me but she was perfect all at once. So now the keys been to work on the parts of me that would think that someone like that was the for sure one when she wasn't/isn't. Sucks to admit the person we really wanted was moreso imagined rather than a reality.

@lindsay1770 that's the whole point of why some people come into path to begin with so we learn later on. Apparently some of us needed something/someone to rattle us so damn bad that we would be sick of their shit but not as much as we are of our own! Then we think,"damn these lessons were expensive and cost a lot of every resource we have, so now have to apply them or else it was all for nothin." Given that we see how bad it sucks we damn sure don't want to go through it again and history does repeat itself when we don't learn. That's why it's good that people are sharing openly their wrongs and how they've been done so that maybe others won't have to or will at least know they're not the only ones because most of us wouldn't have listened ahead of time, it would of interrupted our "bliss"😆
@@FoolintheRainSDMF I agree with this completely, I don't fancy repeating any other mistakes, I do believe these thing happen for a reason. To be fair, I think you may have had it much worse than me, this man didn't let me in enough to really do me any real emotional harm, hurt enough for what it was / wasn't. Think he was doing me a favour holding me at arms length, don't think he was trying to hurt me, more so guarding himself. I don't hold any Ill will towards him, in fact my heart actually goes out to him. I'm just not interested in chasing something that's not meant, I'm not the chasing kind anyways 😂😂.
@lindsay1770 I've been in similar situations as what you're describing not fun and can't do what they/we don't know. It's definitely good to not chase things at all. Shit gets old real quick. Games are cool but not to play with people 😆

I definitely appreciate this and you sharing your experience. It's been about two years now since I've talked to my little sister and I think about her every day. We didn't have the easiest childhood, and I wrestled demons for years myself: I have been sober for 8 years now, but I enabled her addictions for a long time, because when I looked at her I just still saw my little sister and then she had my nephews and my niece which made it even harder for me to tell her no. I finally had to take a step back and see that all I was doing was enabling her to get worse. I don't know how she's doing now, because I had to quit answering the phone like you said and block all contact it was stressing me out so bad the things that she was putting herself through and inevitably me since I was the only one who was there in the end, really I was the only one she had; we had different dads and unfortunately she didn't have the type of father I did and our mother.... we won't go into that but it's really hard for anybody going through this I definitely sympathize and I pray for you and your loved ones. as a recovering addict I will say, you have to hit bottom, you have to there's no other way! nobody can save you from you and like what you're saying you have your messes cleaned up for you so there's no reason to quit until you have to do it yourself. If you happen to be in the position of the enabler I can tell you this do not allow your mind to tell you that you have to help them or they will die, because your "help" is actually killing them and you are 100% the reason they're not getting better. I know this from experience until my father dropped me on my **** and I watched not only the pain that it caused him but then I had to face my own mess/clean my life up myself, I finally realized it had gone too far and it was time to fix my life you have to let them do it and it's hard to watch somebody who love struggle, but theres just no other way my friend.

I feel this deeply due to being actually dumped from a wonderful and fulfilling connection I had with them. So in truth, I am worried that he may ask again and then get dumped once more. I definitely feel the hot and cold zones with this situation, I do want to have hopes for the best but I do feel the worst when thinking about it. So just been thinking of my future, as in career and my life. I just want them to focus on themselves before committing to an actual relationship again. I've wasted 2.5 years on Pisces, hot, cold, in, out, I love you, I don't, I want my Independence, but I miss you, yes he's got addiction Alcohol, he's a functioning alcohol, he's not aggressive towards me. I see potential in him, as he can be caring, loving sensitive, but then he goes all cold. I waited, helped, gave all my time to helping him try understand he can be a much better person, but he left me down BIG TIME, 1st when I had an operation, he wasn't there for me. 2nd My dog, my soulmate died last week, he knew that dog was my world, he again wasn't there for me, oh he said he was sorry about the dog, but said he'd come round help me get through the 1st day/night but he was a NO SHOW 😢, so I'm done 100%, I've walked away in the past and always went back, but this is the straw that broke the camel's back, we broke up at Christmas, so we were just meant to be friends now, but friends are supposed to be there for you, he's no friend of mine, I'm OUT.

Yes this is my ex. Weve been seperated 6 years. He is an addict and it's hurt me so much. I know he can't be honest or in our lives. I did see the potential in him. Idont want to be with him, I just wanna see him do well. I feel guilty for letting him go knowing he won't create a good life for himself. Crosswatcher pisces here. I love virgo with my whole heart. We were making a life, plans, memories together. Out of no where virgo left me to go back to his ex wife. He told me he was broken and needed to heal. He told me he missed his wife and there life. When said all that and just disappeared he completely let me down, im crushed. He left all his stuff in my house. He cut me off and threw everything we created in the gutter. I can not trust him if he did come back because i know he will not let his past go. So, as much as i want to continue believing in the lies i have to go. Im getting on plane and moving 3k miles away. I dont trust myself to say no to him because i am in love with him and all he will do is play games with me. Im really really hurting over what happened. I dont even think he really loved me.

I didn't wanna hear it, but now that I'm listening, it's all pretty much true. Thank god I didn't have sex with them LoL - I'm not losing out on much except a lil bit of my time and energy, nothing that I can't bounce back from. Time to get back to what makes me, me. I just wanted to feel what it's like to be seen as the epicenter of someone else's life. I just wanted that feeling, but ok, time to evolve and face the music, it's not gonna happen with this individual. At least I kept my power and kept my pants on.
