I'm not sure I completely agree that we only attract toxicity when we're lacking something within ourselves, or haven't done inner work, or whatever. The reason being is that manipulative people will say, AND behave in ways that mimic an emotionally healthy person. Sure, eventually they will show their true nature - but unless we are psychic, there is really no way to know someone's real character in the beginning. People like that do usually seek out "low hanging fruit" or needy people, but I'd argue that sometimes, the higher functioning types with a bit more grandiosity or energy WILL go after the fruit that is higher up!...They'll do this as a challenge HOPING they can break you down and get you to bend to their will. If you are strong in your sense of self and have firm boundaries, they'll run eventually when they are rejected, bit that may be a long time. They may try a million times more, with every angle in their playbook. Those types are truly evil. They want to be the one who not only wins...but wins getting a strong, confident, and healed person to fall for them. So in that case, you're NOT lacking awareness or self love, they just became bored only going for the easy people and wanted a bigger challenge. They are like degenerate gamblers, really. Addicted to their con game. Regardless, I do agree that the lesser-skilled toxic folks will go for people who are themselves toxic, or at least lack awareness and self-love, but you can be the opposite in every way and still get played sometimes. 🤷‍♀️

Resonate with this ,but simply feel bad because I just want someone to share this short life with who is as into me as I am them. I hate this find the love in yourself because it sounds so stupid. Why come to earth to simply connect with yourself? What’s the point of people? Can we not learn from a good connection? Yes I understand “being the best version of yourself” not sure how people you live sh$&ing on you helps you feel good about yourself? Yes knowing what you won’t tolerate got it disconnected after trying to be the bigger person or rather the understanding person just to see they showed they didn’t really care at all. Great so alone again, working on myself something I feel like I’ve been doing all my 53 years on this shit hope planet full of selfish, toxic and holes. Been back stabbed at work, personal, family I think I’ve had my fill. Any balance to this universe? Or do I die then find love? Try to be positive that’s when I entered this last relationship just to be screwed. Venting yes🤣. Your reading make sense though and keep my own anger from getting the best of me. Anger, sadness, depression, doubt. Know these well love, care, reciprocity in desire, yeah could use a little more of these. Unconditional love sorry I’m not Jesus I’m human just doing the best I can and perfection isn’t a thing in this form.
