Virtua Fighter: Move over boy.

If you know VF lore it's even cooler, because the majority of them are really rivals in the story leading up to VF5, the only ones who aren't known rivals are Goh and Vanessa, but Vanessa's backstory hints that someone from J6 is responsible for her father's death, which probably means it was Goh.

@Alex Lucifer No they didn't, Tekken stole it's "innovations" from VF, lol. The uneven stages of Tekken 4 came from VF3, customization in Tekken 5 came from VF4, etc. And DOA just basically copy pasted VF's fighting system and button layout and made it more streamlined and added counters. VF was always the 3-D fighter that was innovating while DOA (and Tekken especially) sat back and copied whatever they did for their next game.

But what i said IS a fact, VF was always the 3-D fighter innovating and paving the way in the genre, and Tekken constantly stole ideas from it, that's factual man. I grew up playing all of these games, i know what was what.

@Alex Lucifer No, it most certainly doesn't "stand on a higher ground". VF is more refined and deeper than Tekken and was always graphically superior as well. All of those things are factual. VF is revered for it's depth, balance, innovation and refinement. Something being more popular than something else most certainly doesn't mean it's better. All VF games have been critically acclaimed and the series is in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, where Virtua Fighter is the only video game on permanent display. Hell VF4 Evo is rated as one of the 25 best PS2 games of all time, no Tekken made the list. Educate yourself man, you sound completely clueless about just how good VF is. Sales don't tell the story and is a foolish thing to go by, lol.

This is a good opening???? The opening consists of character names. I can just go to the character selection screen to see that. Opening was awful. Street fighter 4 have the best opening in a fighting game to date.

I think the point of this game is to set up the structure for it and gauge interest. Like... AM2 wasn't a thing anymore. They re-established it for this.

For example Lion is paired as Jean's rival due to the fact it was revealed in VF5: R that Lion and Jean were childhood best friends until the series central antagonist group J6 kidnapped Jean and brainwashed him into becoming one of their assassins with orders to kill/capture anyone that J6 deems a target/enemy including Lion.

Yep, VF has always been the best 3-D fighter to me. Tekken is too goofy and over the top for me and DOA is nothing but fanservice. I've always loved VF's realistic and authentic moves and characters. It's "pure". If i want fireballs, lasers, super moves, etc i'll just play SF, KOF, etc. I don't want that stuff in my 3-D fighting game. I love the authenticity of VF.

For a minute there I thought we was getting a VF 6 at first but it wine up being a remade instead but who knows maybe if the game is very successful and people start playing the game with online tournaments that will bring casual & hardcore players alike then there is a chance and maybe some hope for VF 6 in the future plus it will also open the door to bring back more fighting in the past that been long forgotten by there respectfull companies it time to back some of it competition we all need it in the fighting game community for sure but VF 6 I'm down with that yessir

Despite these beautiful visuals there is not a signal cinamtic custence to show off those polygons and character ending movies to tell the plot. Just head to head fight. But the most baffling thing is Virtua Fighter has a Story but it's not told in the games.

Exactly, that's why i could never take Tekken seriously. Too many goofy over the top characters and moves. VF's realism and grounded-ness was always refreshing to me.

Dont worry, the experience is better than vf5fs, its not rollback but is a "premium" version of delay-net. I play in south america and the difference from rollback is minimum. Obviously for better experience you must play with a ethernet conection, not wifi

I guess they are planing to add more dlc at season 1 (now is season 0), and I hope they can add some other 3d fighting game characters from SEGA, ex. fighting viper, Last Bronx.

If they do add DLC, they should bring back Siba/Majido. Being an easter egg in Fighters Megamix doesn't cut it anymore. He deserves to be added at this point.
