Virtual Diesel Gala 2020 - A Lockdown Day in the Shed - Episode 2 

Heritage diesel locomotives don’t take kindly to sitting around idle for long periods. During the lockdown the engines were ‘barred over’ to avoid bearing problems and the oil pumps operated to redistribute lubricating oil around the engine. Batteries were also charged to maintain them in good condition.
This video starts with look around the shed with 37248 in pole position, the sound of the Class 24's Sulzer 6LDA provides the background music. Then we move inside 47376 for the engine start and walk back though to the cab. The brake testing is, 47376 having its B examination and the brake settings were being checked against a master pressure gauge. Finally we see 37215 start from outside
