Maryland officials met virtually Tuesday with stakeholders involved in the rebuild of the Francis Scott Key Bridge to discuss potential designs, the bidding process and minority participation. While state officials announced significant progress in the reopening of the main shipping channel, they reached a milestone behind the scenes in efforts to rebuild the bridge. The Dali container ship struck the Key Bridge in the early morning of March 26, causing a large portion of the bridge to collapse into the Patapsco River, killing six construction workers. On Tuesday, state officials discussed what's involved in the progressive design build approach to the procurement process.
