I truly appreciate this video. For many years I've been scared to deal with builder gel bc I've seen other tutorials that weren't as specific as this one and I got lots of anxiety in trying to learn to do them. But with this video it helps.. thank you.

Trying to decide between soft builder gel vs hard gel for damaged, bendy nails that curve downward and have a natural 'C' curve as they grow longer. I like the idea of hard gel but concerned because I have somewhat flexible nails.

Typically for damaged nails we recommend acrylic and it's acts as sort of cast to the nail.

Quick question what did you apply on the nail before you added the gel? It looks shiny is that the protein bond or something like that?

Yes, we applied protein bond and the synergy base gel before building the nail.

what solution are you using: for example acrylic powder and monomer. what do you use with hard gel and poly gel?

With hard gel you don't need to use anything besides the hard gel product itself and then curing it in a light. As for polygel, we can't speak on it as it is not a product we manufacture.

Thank you for showing the technic of hard gel application. The only thing why I would not repeat after you is because the surface is uneven. It does not look like a normal healthy nail. Maybe because it is for beginners, at least to start, or just the way the loght shines, well, thanks anyway)

I have only taught myself hard gel so far. I love the Synergy tubes!!! I love being able to deposit the majority of the product from the tube then using my brush to just feather around the cuticle and sidewall.

I admit I love the hard gels more. The natural nails do not curl away like they do with acrylics. I have one question. Putting hard gel as your base and pink or peach. Its it okay to finish with acrylics to harden the nail structure or it just as hard? Thanks much.❤

Hard gel is just as hard as acrylic. Also acrylic on hard gel doesn’t do as well as hard gel on acrylic.

Young Nails I need your help! I used super nail monomer with saviland acrylic (black) and it didn’t harden it was like rubber even after 15 minutes. What did I do wrong?

Unfortunately, we can’t speak on other products as we do not test them. We would recommend either asking the company for advice on how to use their products or you can ask in our Facebook group if anyone has had similar experience with the product you are using.

Do you use protein bond under the tube gel? And is there a heat spike?

It's always best to use Protein Bond or some type of primer before applying gel so that it adheres really well and you don't have to worry about lifting. The Precision Applicators are their second generation gels, and have virtually no heat spike. If you're very sensitive to heat spikes you can try curing on low heat mode or hold your hands just outside of the light for 30 seconds and then go in for a full cure. Applying a thin layer of gel first also helps (the thicker the layer the more heat it produces to cure). Once you have a thin layer on the nail you shouldn't feel the heat any longer.

Does anyone else feel a huge heat spike when using this product ? How can we fix it ?

If you are feeling those heat spikes, it may be that you are using thicker layers of product, which can produce more heat. Try applying less product or using the “low heat” mode on our lamp. In this mode, it will begin curing slower & then the power of the lamp will increase to fully cure. You can also start by curing the nails just outside the light for 20-30 seconds & then place them fully under the light to complete the cure without the heat spikes. www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRWyvCVP/

Shellac was originally just a brand name for one company's gel polish line. It has become a generic term for gel polish. This is similar to how Kleenex has become the generic term for all facial tissues. Our gel polish lines are ManiQ and Go Time. ManiQ is a three step system with a Base, Color and Top Coat. Go Time is a one step that does not require a base or top coat. If you are working over an acrylic enhancement, you can go right to the Color and Top Coat without a Base or just the Color if you are using Go Time.
