Across the globe, communities from the streets of Louisville to New Delhi, have been affected by unprecedented levels of crisis. In recent months, the effects of climate change, racial injustice, gender inequality and the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic have had an enormous impact on the livelihoods of people around the world. This all has united us in our struggle like never before. Together we are at a crossroads, faced with the question: “What is the world that we want to see?”.
In this Virtual Peace Table, peacebuilders will discuss the peace-development-humanitarian nexus challenges facing the Pacific region. They will shed a light on thriving local initiatives in the region that have the ability to transform the way we look at security and have the power to shape the peaceful world that we want to see.
