so many bright summer evenings spent playing basketball after high school on my grandparents' blacktop when I didn't have any problems or shits to give. this song takes me back to it harder than anything else i listened to during that time. i like to think i've moved on from being a kid, but then i hear that absolutely insane tempo change and realize how hard it actually is to know i won't experience my youth ever again. it's the kind of song that can make you sprint the last 400 meters of your marathon, blasting through and shoving every pain in your body out of the way as you cross the finish line and make your steady deceleration

Feels like good old "Time stops", "Fuck Gravity", "Lunar" and "All we know" all over again

This feels like a journey from start to finish... Probably looking too far into it. This seems like an amazing representation of VR's and any producer's journey through music. This hits so close to home to me and I love it. If Rush - 2112 (discovery) is the guitarists story, this is the music producers story.

The simplicity of the start, the first buildup and drop, the middle development, the 2nd buildup and drop that switches genre, the sound design, transitions. This is why this track has been my favorite for so long, it's beautiful!

Don't know, if this was intentional or not but I love the fact, that the song is called init and in the start of the song Virtual Riot used a sawtooth waveform which is usually the init preset for a lot of VST's
