w/ GoPro Hero 9, Horizon Leveling, Please subscribe, like, and comment. I've got a lot of NYC running videos in the pipeline and some free time on my hands!
LOVE your video of central park! Beautiful and smooth flowing video, without the up and down running motion which is hard to watch on video with running videos. Thanks for this! Just perfect!
Its interesting to even see your fitness progression over time. Google suggested this one right after I watched another of yours from two years later. Great job keeping it up!!
Another great virtual run ! Love all the sounds of outside...birds, people talking, bikes and whizzing by, happy babies, crying babies, traffic, and even NYPD on horse patrol.
It looks like it was a perfect day for a run. Great quality too. Thanks! I love running in Central Park. It was nice to revisit while running at home on a treadmill in Minnesota with the temp outside hovering around 5 degrees.
going to start to follow your videos they look great and brings back memories of when I use to live in NYC and use to walk a lot around central park love the scenery, who could imagine I would become a runner and love it so much. I've been running since 2016 and ever since then been in various marathons, like the world's Best 10k in San Juan PR., Coamo San Blas PR. 21k and Gasparilla challenge in Florida did 2 runs of the 4 run did the 5 and the 21km run with my daughter, son, and wife my son did all 4, loved that weekend and couldn't forget the cold weather we had that year boy it was horrible not even running would warm me up jajjaajajajjajajaj, but nice still running in Puerto Rico and having a blast doing it with my family and also alone. well take care and be safe.
@@JonRuns Ahh yes space can be a pain, my living room is half gym lol. You may be surprised by what you could set up mind, it's great fun and performance for sure :D
I'm so happy I could share it with you! I've got a whole Playlist of Central Park runs. Check it out: ru-vid.com/group/PLC4iDKusmbpnyCIyCWCFGFb0EHNAGSser
Jon that is incredible stability!!! Is that ONLY GoPro 9 with Horizon Leveling? No gimbal on top of that? Any tricks on how you hold the camera? I get a bit of up and down when I record my trail runs.
I wish that the stabilization was that good. My gopro is mounted onto the handlebar of a jogging stroller. You can hear my 2 year old babbling if you listen closely.
You guessed it! Pushing my little one for this video. You can hear him chattering throughout. Haha Now that it's warming up, I gotta get him back out there.
Good question. The road is often used by Central Park service vehicles, the police, and sometime ambulances will use it if traffic is bad. The road used to be open to cars during rush hour to relieve traffic on the city roads, but that was ended a few years ago... Actually, it used to be two lanes for cars and one lane that runners and bikers shared. The stop lights are also in places with a lot of pedestrian cross traffic, and I believe that bikers are supposed to stop when the light it red... But they never do.
The stabilization is amazing. Did you use a gimball? I just went on my first run with my Hero9 and it didn't look anywhere near as smooth as this. Horizon leveling plus hypersmooth boost. It wasn't horrible, but there was definitely a bounce. I did run on a trail rather than concrete though
I actually had it mounted to the handlebar on a jogging stroller. I've actually been disappointed with the stabilization on the Hero 9 Black when using a handheld stick, like the Shorty. I actually think the Hero 8 was better in that case. It might be the horizon leveling, but I get a stutter on every step when I'm holding it by hand. I'm hoping they can fix that with a firmware update.
@@jonsconspiracy Oh that makes sense. Yeah I had that same stutter, except I had it mounted on a chesty, which I just heard is no good for running. Anyway, looks great. I'll try different mounts, see what works.
For some reason I don't like that not moving camera, it doesn't feels real. Feels like you're on a bicycle and driving slowly. The up down movement feels just better, the only only reason I don't use those vids from you for running and the speed also feels to slow due the angle of the recording
Actually, I'm pushing a stroller and the GoPro is mounted onto a handlebar. So, yes, it is like I'm on a bicycle. I'm not sure the speed has to do with the angle or that I'm just slow! haha. I was probably only running 11-12/min miles here. Watch at 1.5x speed.
It was, but remember that it's a gopro, not some fancy cinema camera. And I'm moving and bouncing, so the imagine stabilization degrade quality. Add some compression from Adobe Premiere, and finally RU-vid's terrible compression, and this is what you get.
@@bikingchupei2447 Sharpness on medium. I think it's the Adobe compression. I've tried so many different ways to output video on Premiere, but I can never make it look as good as the original content. It's really frustrating.
