The air is dry and crisp, trees are covered with snow, and the view over lake covered with ice and snow is gorgeous. Wonderful run! Or walk. I have been so missing Norway while unable to travel, it was lovely to be able to be there, while keeping fit on my treadmill. I especially liked the fact that you took the time to pause and slowly give us that panoramic view at the end. What a sky... This run made me happy today! - many thanks from a 67 year old woman in the UK.

Another beauty. I have run a few times in Ohio winter and I could feel the burn of the cold air. Not as cold as where you are but Ohio winters used to get pretty close. LOL

Another fun video. Thanks for doing in the inclines for me while I remain on flat ground :) It is interesting how snow can change the look of the topography. I remember you running this route in summer...and where that trail had continued on to the right...where you turned around this time. I can only imagine what the conditions must have been up ahead. I have noticed how my single 2020 race time compares to my training runs (my wife and I do an ave of 4km four times per week) to what I am doing in the winter. Just enough snow and ice and uneven ground to affect things...never mind the additional clothing. You do much more on the road than we do. How much difference do you find? Oh...it appears Bergen and Edmonton have a lot in common climate wise.

Thank you Ron! What? You're skipping the inclines on your treadmill? :p You're correct, I did run this route last summer, and I turned right where I now turned around, it was just too much snow to continue to the left this time. Doing 4km 4 times per week is great! I'm trying to do 3-4 runs each week, usually around 5-6 to 10km. I find it easier to do a bit longer runs while outside, but easier to actually do the runs on the treadmill, due to the extra "work" with clothing due to the cold temperatures, rain and so on. Training-wise I'm not sure, but I feel a bit better after doing a run outside, but it's probably a combination of fresh air and more natural inclines/declines :)

@@VirtualRunTV - Actually, my wife and I rarely do the treadmill. I think we jumped on it a couple of times when the temps hit -30...but four times per week we put on the extra clothes and usually a light (we run after the sun goes down about 3 of those days). However, I still usually do about 5000 steps jogging in place watching RU-vid (10,000 non run days)...and that is where you come in. A nice flat carpeted floor...with no inclines...except for a certain Norwegian doing the work for me :)

@@TMG183 Hehe :) A certain Norwegian doing the heavy work with the inclines, but I also get to do the declines ;) I just came in from a run. It was -20, that's a bit too cold. My face was stiff and my hands were white, looked like a corpse! I only did 6km - which was more than enough in that temperature. Sounds like we have similiar climate. The winters can drop to around -20/25, but usually stays around +1 to -5. The summers stays from around +15 to +30.

It's on the west coast of Norway, you can search for Digernesvatnet in Google Maps, and you'll find it. Recorded 10 january 2021 :)

Great scenery! Norway does look stunning - high up on my list of places to visit when this is all over 🙂 You must not get much sunlight this time of year, though. Does the sun get much higher than it is here?

Throughly enjoyed running along to this on my treadmill while playing this on the tv in front of me. I am curious to know how you put the elevation, speed, and path all on the same corner of the screen? What do you use to do this? It really helped having the elevation there so I could adjust as needed. I’d love if a community of runners all did this and we could all experience a bit of each of our outdoor runs.

@@VirtualRunTV I appreciate you replying back and answering about Verb edit. I was afraid that was what you were using. Not that it’s bad but I was hoping I could do it all from the convenience of my iPhone. Looks like Virb edit only works on Mac or PC. I really look forward to the day that phones and tablets can do all the functions that computers can do. I have an old Mac that is just a pain to use and I’m just not convinced I need a computer for the few tasks that I would use one for. This is way longer of an in-depth than you probably care for. Thank you for answering my question and I do really like your videos! Keep up the great work! Thank you!

Thank you Pam! I'm sorry to hear that. As a creator, I can't adjust how many ads that will show, it' RU-vid's algorithmes. But I think you would have had the same amount of ads if you watched another video on RU-vid at the same time that you watched this one. Thank you, and sorry.

Wonderful scenery, amazing nature but stopped the film after 30 minutes, too many adds (every 4-5min) just made the treadmill run too annoying!

Hi Peter. Thank you for the feedback. Sorry to hear that it shows too many ads. As a creator I can't decide how many ads that will show during the video, this is done automatically by RU-vid's algorithmes. Sometimes it's like you describe it, and sometimes nothing at all. I believe you would have got the same amount of ads if you saw another video at the same time. Again, thank you and sorry.

Really enjoyed this one. Seemed like many commercials compared to others.... almost every 5 min. I don't mind 3 or 4 and I will let them run to help you out but with that many I had to skip. Getting into a grove then some ad for a TV show showing a woman popping a boil on her arm with puss coming out.... yuck lol....at any rate thanks for helping me get 5 miles in.... go Norge

Thanks Tommy! It's a lovely scenery on this route, I agree. When it come''s to the ads, it's RU-vids algorithmes which decides how many/often it shows. If you watched any other video at the same time as you watched this one, I believe you would have been presented with the same amount of ads. I'm sorry and thank you! Heia Norge ;)
