More now than ever we rely on the professional military personnel of the NATO countries to safe guard us all. Europe and the US have a great military tradition in providing that safety. Thank you for your service.
GREETINGS FROM HELIGOLAND ! The island is a mile long and half a mile wide. We are now german, but used to be a british crown colony. Thanks for the service you do in defending peace and democracy at the Falklands !
The pride the sailors take in their immaculate ship shows. The British Navy is a centuries-old institution of great tradition and these young servicemen and servicewomen do us all proud. Our future is safe in their capable hands. You have no idea how grateful and proud we are of you. For the sake of us ignorant landlubbers who want to know more, may I offer a few humble suggestions? * Slow down, there's no rush, we're here for you. What you're doing is very important. * The music is a distraction * Explain what a "rate" and "Junior Rate" is. Remember, we're family and super-interested but don't know the terms you take for granted. * What is a "ward room"? * Explain what the mission of the ship is. For what purpose was it built? What is it's speed, engines, length, displacement, and engines? * Why did you join the Navy? Are you proud to serve? What city are you from? * Slow down, there's no rush, we're here for you. What you're doing is very important.
Interesting, but as someone else said, could have done without the music, a brief running description of the ships specifications would have been better me thinks! Anyway keep up the good work 👍
A bit different from the Forth, SM7 depot ship, that I was reluctantly on in 1967 having been given a pier head jump after a 14 weeks in HMSm Anchorite.
you guys need an editor damn! let me know, I can do better in imovie XD Once single shot, no cutting, akwardly loud & out of place music, seems like the first and only take as everyone looks scared of the camera
The sailors all look like they’ve just finished their GCSE exams The female is nice. If she’s the only one on board she’ll feel like a glamour model………until the ship gets back to the Uk 😂 Seriously though, if she’s single and she’s reading the comments, I’d love your phone number and to wine and dine you x
Well I thought it was an interesting video . I didn’t expect anything with huge production value but it showed the living accommodation very well . I’m sure you think it’s cramped but it looked suprisingly spacious to me . What I don’t get is the lack of armament on these ships . I note you didn’t show any weaponry
Of course the ship will have to be renamed something like Meon or Thames in a couple of years as it is not the policy of the RN to name ships after foreign people or places. Like every other bit of UK defence equipment, when Scotland dissolves the union it will all default to ownership of England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Of course the dozen or so decommissioned nuclear powered submarines awaiting disposal in Scotland should morally be retained by the Scots. For 400 years Scotland was defended by the UK and following the industrial revolution a disproportionate amount of the defence budget was spent in Scotland - and provided a disproportionate number of jobs. Putting a few quid back in to dispose of the subs and not being given any UK defence equipment would be a fair trade. Anyway, Scotland wants to be a supplicant of the EU and I'm sure Germany will pay for a few rifles; they are going to be paying for everything else. As NATO members, I'm sure they wont mind US and French nuclear missile boats operating out of Holy Loch will bring welcome cash for the economically strapped country. Of course Scotland wont have any MPs in the US or French parliaments to question the operation of thee boats.
