Thank you for this video about your parents and their life at the Kipnes Centre for Veterans. I completely agree - it is a wonderful "home-like" facility. Twice a month I help to lead the Hymn Sing with Ruby. We are having the «Presentation of the Nativity» event on Friday, Dec. 22nd in the morning. Perhaps we'll get to meet, Andrea.
My Uncle Andy stayed here after my auntie passed away. He became a much more outgoing person and even managed to make some friends. He enjoyed his time here and would even brag about how well he was doing in physiotherapy. I only wish that he and my auntie had both been able to come to this residence together. I firmly believe that if that had been the case they would both still be with us today. If you have any doubts about your loved ones coming to this place the mere fact that each person gets their own spacious room upon admission (not after being made to share a room and then wait for a single room) AND that each room has their own shower should be an added incentive. Believe me, I looked at many places before selecting The Kipnes and came out of each one crying my eyes out. After seeing the Kipnes I came out crying, but with tears of happiness and hope. You can't go wrong with this place!
