The sequencing and the steam of thoughts are flowing nicely in your videos. The process of explaining feels smooth like silk. You put a lot of effort into it I guess, so thank you so much
Corey...I just >learned< that I was doing it all wrong! It all clicked after watching this video......now I have to spend a few hours undoing my clumsy setup and implementing the learnings from your clip...but it'll be worth it. Thanks You!
Thanks for this informative video about VirtualBox Snapshots. I've used VirtualBox for several years, but had never looked at using this useful feature.
Thank you very much for this video, it was very helpful, I lost my virtual machine due to a huge error I made and luckily, I learned from you to avoid such problems like that
Thank you so much Corey, I was looking for this amazing tutorial explaining ssh with virtualbox and really it helped me a lot saving my time. Keep adding new tutorials. Request you to demonstrate some automation with ansible please.
Hello, you did not cover deleting of the snapshots and what it causes to the VM or other snapshots in the tree, since it takes time for deleting of a snapshot I believe there is some merging going on.
Great video. What if you have several snapshots and you feel you are at a point to take a master snapshot. Can we delete older snapshots without effecting the final version?
This is a great and powerful feature that I had never concidered using before, thanks for explaining how to use this. - having various install options as snapshots on one machine is a very cool use of this feature Now saving so much time not having to rebuild broken vms from scratch! thanks : )
i have a problem, my memory run out so i had to change the local file to a another driver, and when i did that i couldnt load kali so i reinstall but i kept a snapshot, can i use it? it doesnt appear in the VB but its in a file.. i need some help :/
What do I do if I never had system restore set up on my computer and I need to recover a folder with certain files and I need those files back to the original folder? I messed up with a virtual machine in virtual box and on the virtual machine, I need the files from that machine on virtual box. I accidentally moved sometimes to a different folder and stuff and I forgot which files were exactly where. Please help me!!! 🥺🥺🥺😢😢😢😭😭😭
If I get the exe file of the trial version of a software and take a snapshot just before installation, and then get back to the snapshot once the trial period is over, can I install it again and use for the trial period? Thanks.
I do not believe that there is a definitive answer. If the software simply checks your own computer (your VM) for whether or not the trial software has been installed, then it should be like it is the first time, each time you restore from a snapshot. But if the software collects data from your VM (such as its MAC address, etc), and sends that info back to the author's system, and asks for permission to turn, then the server could be smart enough to know that the software already ran on your system. Of course, you could have VirtualBox change your VM to make it look like a different machine, each time you restore from a snapshot.
