@@rosemarysanchez6685 Maiden had the clever publicity figure of Eddie and it took them about four years to sign with a record company. Sad thing is that many NWOBHM bands had an ridiculous number of member changes, some didn't have the work ethic, others were buried under all the others. I'd say though that i for sure would prefer these bands making it big, with their great music than the Glam crap that came out of the USA in the 80s.

So many NWOBHM bands were as equally talented as Iron Maiden, but the commercial success was only for a few names. I mean Satan for one were phenomenally talented, and still are I might add. Tyson Dog as well and a lot of a North East bands.

Besides Maiden's first 2 albums (which I'm sure you've heard), I would recommend Tokyo Blade. The main riff on Night of the Blade is actually quite similar to High Treason

I left & was subsequently replaced. But shortly after that the band met its demise 😮. So sad. If we had been a few years earlier I’m sure we would have been something special
