This was so painful to listen to...I can't believe all you had to go through. It seems unfair that the police were called when you hadn't committed a crime. Terrible!!
It was very traumatic to see the police called on us as if we do not put in all efforts to comply with all regulations. We will get what we deserve out of this.
To start with the only reason you would have made the 1st move would have only been if you had the visa. That way you’d have saved a lot on Extra expenses with the back & forth 2). The Swissport woman get serious issues. She did not act professionally. She could have just done her job but as it stands she was only focused on not letting ya’all fly despite the visa. It’s best to get advice from a lawyer regarding all this. It’s a pitiful situation. “Naija visa no get level” opari ‼️‼️‼️
We are ooo... We deserve to be compensated not only for the cost we have incured but also the emotional trauma of all our plans being abruptly interrupted due to one staffs negligence.
I'm trying to understand why you're addressing the issue with Swissport rather than contacting Ryanair directly. I would recommend filing a formal complaint against both the lady involved and Swissport, and I hope you may have recorded the conversation as evidence. My advice is to ensure you have your visa in hand before traveling in the future. It's an unfortunate experience, but it sheds light on how the Nigerian passport is often treated. I believe you should pursue compensation or a remedy to cover at least some of your expenses. Wishing you success. Floreat.
Thank you for your advice. We have different complaints to both Ryanair and Swissport but I do get where you are coming from as our dealing initially was with Ryan air so they should be responsible for the compensation even if they have to get it from Swissport. We are trying to explore all alternatives as we don't want any party to pretend not to be aware of the incident when push comes to shove.
