The Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482) allows Australian employers to address labor shortages by bringing in skilled workers from overseas when they can't find an appropriately skilled Australian.
To apply for a 482 visa, the position must be on the relevant skilled occupation list, and the applicant must have the necessary skills and experience to fill the role. Additionally, applicants need to meet English language requirements and health and character checks.
The 482 visa allows holders to work in Australia for their sponsoring employer, study (without government assistance), and travel in and out of Australia as often as they want while the visa is valid.

Hi, Not always the skill assessment is required, to demonstrate work experience you need a reference letter from you previous employer(s), payslips, tax return statement, bank statement where you have the salary paid into your account etc.. Hope this helps and thanks for your feedback :)

Hi, thanks for your comment. As she is 44, she can apply via a DAMA where she get age concessions. The visa applicant must not have turned 50/55 years of age (depending on which DAMA) at time of visa nomination. I have some questions regarding the DAMA visa and the 482 visa.I came to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417) and worked as a receptionist for both a construction company and a medical service Aboriginal corporation until the end of May 2024. Hi, for visa 482 you will need to demonstrate 1 year of experience starting Nov 24. once 482 is granted you can apply for 186TRT after 2 years, have a look at our latest videos where we have explained the transitions in depth. however, to get a 482 under a DAMA agreement your employer must registrate as sponsor in their local DAMA region. check out more on our channel as we have a playlist dedicated to DAMA visas

Hi! Change of position within the same company requires a new nomination to be lodged and a new visa to be requested. It will effectively require 24 additional months to be worked, as if a new visa with a new business was acquired

The Australian Government has announced changes that will allow short-term 457 or 482 visa holders to have a pathway to permanent residency in Australia after 2 years. If you have held and worked on a 482 visa for at least 2 years, you can apply for your PR.

Well, how would you or the immigration or federal govt catch those black sheeps, when it comes to apply for teaching jobs in australia by overseas teachers. Evidence is available; how can black sheeps be caught?how?when they advertise a job; despite many best fit applicants available from overseas the school/HR dont even bother acknowledging the applicants query; merely send an pre/auto written letter to most of the applicants. How Australia can help nations and allow new, seasoned, qualified and experienced teacher be a part of Aussie economy?There are many schools in VICTORIA I applied and one of those is in Epping-a muslim school and they neither communicate well nor entertain overseas teachers when it comes to talking to HR/Principal over the phone or even ask for an appointment with the help of a friend -who has been living in Australia already. Do I need to give a name of the school?Even OMBUDSMAN of victoria come and go; bear in mind people, society and their genuine needs stay...so if an Ombudsman wants to contribute in the economy of the country then..he/she has to keep a close look on such many schools. I have email, evidences and also phone call records.
