Our plans to travel to Vietnam were quickly interrupted when we arrived at the airport in Bangkok. We could not board our flight to Vietnam because we did not have our Vietnam Visa Approval.
With a quick Google search, it says Vietnam allows visa on arrival. Post-Covid, this is no longer true. You must apply for the visa and allow three to five business days in order to get a visa for Vietnam. We applied directly through the Vietnam Visa website, however, you can work with travel agencies to help with the visa process.
We were having too much fun and forgot to look deeper into what was needed for a visa to Vietnam.

* Photo of your passport - scanned for best results
* Headshot photo of yourself. We took a photo with our phones against a black wall and it worked great.

If you are traveling to Vietnam, DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES WE DID.
We applied for our Vietnam Visa's the day before we were supposed to arrive. We did not think anything of this because, with a quick google search, it said Vietnam offers visas on arrival. This is no longer true. At the time of this video, VIETNAM DOES NOT OFFER VISA ON ARRIVAL! The fastest you can get one is 3 days if you apply for the E-Visa or if you go to an embassy I believe you can get a visa in 24 hours. They also offer an emergency visa option at a Vietnam embassy, but it will cost you much more money. We waited 5 days for our visa to enter Vietnam.
