Hi, I live in Bangkok for 6 years. Few suggestions : - restaurant : Lava, Petits Plats, Elements, Alain Ducasse, Spectrum - few trendy bars : GOT, Baccarat, Truth or dare langsuan - about condo : from my experience only luxury market in Bangkok is profitable and liquid. And stats shows that 90% of the market are made from local buyers so don’t worry about thai quotas. I will not go for leasehold land or « buy » land with a weird structure trying to trick the law. Respect the law 🫡 - best area to live in Bangkok : ThongLor, Phrom Pong, ChitLom, Ekkamai. - best cities beside Bangkok : Phuket around Bang Tao, Koh Samui to disconnect or Hua Hin is you’re about to retired. I like Khao Yai for a short nature trip - best clinic for foreigners : Astrid anti-aging clinic Enjoy Thailand 🫶🏼
I'm a small business owner and investor who managed to retire early. I'm planning on scouting Thailand before deciding to live there. Future regular meetups would be nice. It'd be great to make new friends with likeminded folks. I'm glad you two spoke about the real estate market in Thailand because I was looking at buying there, but have now changed my mind since the returns seem quite low.

Love the channel! But is there a reason why you not share the episodes on all channels at the same time? Sometimes I prefer to hear them on Apple Podcasts when I‘m running or driving. Then I often realize that the episode is not available yet 😢
Yea that’s my fault. Sometimes it’s just A LOT of work to coordinate everything at once so it takes me some time to process everything. I will try to be better about getting everything out at the same time 🙏

I was invited to visit my friend Khun thanit in Ubon rachathani before Covid and stayed with his family for two nights. It’s was a beautiful relaxing place. I would like to go there next year 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Bangkok is a lot of fun. The big clubs and popular spots are fine but I encourage people to check out the small bars on side streets, get to know the bartenders and other patrons. Meeting people from other countries and going out with them can open up parts of Bangkok that otherwise may be hidden to you.
For bank accounts you’ll have a hard time opening one while on a tourist visa unless you get lucky with one particular branch. But if you have any kind of long-term visa it should not be a problem, especially if you go through an agent. They have contacts at the bank and it makes things so much easier. It’s just the way it works.
Question to Earn next time you have a Q&A, what can she tell us about the magic Issan girl have? Do they really place spells on their men? or is there anything more to it than the charms of a country girl?
Mate seriously the isaan lady is different, and most cities or towns have their own different dialogs, I mean Thai in general is the lingo. But I,ve stayed with more then a few from around these areas and even kmer Thai and you can meet the most beautiful ladies.
Best way by far to meet "good" girls is at work, female friends of Thai guys (or their girlfriends friend) you hang out with and meetups like language exchange or board games or whatever. Most girls going to clubs and bars regularly are bad. That's generally true worldwide. You'd be looking for the needle in the haystack and that sucks.
I agree with your first point. I think that's a great strategy. But this idea that everryone that goes out to a club for a drink and music is a bad person is something I don't agree with.
@@OneNightinBangkok_ Not everyone but most girls doing that aren't wife or long term relationship material in my and all my acquaintances experience. Exceptions exist as always but searching for exceptions sucks if you can fish in a better pool instead.

Here on an O visa it was still a pain in the ass to open my bank account. Each branch of a bank has discression on if they open an account or not. They don't have to open an account you don't have a right to banking here.

It's weird that you don't consider asian tourists to be foreign tourists since the top two countries with the highest tourism rates come from China and Malaysia. Is tourist as defined by you, white, western, and men?
Actually, I articulated it that way because Thai people tend to make a distinction between "western" foreigners and Asian foreigners. Also, the person writing in the question was asking from a western point of view, so I didn't want to give him inaccurate or incomplete information.
In Thailand you are single until you are married therefore you are not cheating you're just dating around. Also there are two different words for cheating, one for cheating on the heart and cheating physical only no strings sorta thing. It's more acceptable to hook up with someone else than it is to have relationship with someone else and many Thai's wouldn't consider it cheating if you just hook up with someone else definately wouldn't be a relationship killer if you were caught out.
The general consensus on Thai girls and being girl friend material is tricky because most of the experience being shared is guys who have fallen in love or struck a relationship working girls. The regular girls if you want to call them that are few and far between, because even girls with normal jobs are known to sometimes do a little free lance or be promiscuous. The unfortunate fact I find speaking to guys and I also picked up from the girl host is that, relationships are predominantly money driven. Another example is she mentions girls don't cheat if they are in a "serious relationship", but that is rarity, this is the butterfly thing. They fail to commit and choose not to decided because the perks of company + money without any need for commitment is fun. I have a question Eric to ask her or another host (I know the answer 99% of the time between foreign men and thai women) - Can a deep conversation be had with most Thai Girls? What conversations has she had with any boyfriend whether current or ex.? I ask this because even guys married to thai women for many years, they just cannot have a deep convo.
Few things… Molino might be the best Mexican place in Bangkok. Food is EXCELLENT. It’s real ingredients (often hard to get in Thailand) and amazing menu - not fast food or something like that. And yea, Earn is currently the hostess there.

Am I the only one annoyed by hearing the same 3 nightclubs mentioned every episode. More long term personalities like Chris and paddy are a more interesting long term format than your friends to often
I don’t blame you but sometimes that’s just the answer to the question asked (like in this episode). And I totally understand if you prefer certain types of content, but everyone prefers different things and it’s not easy to please everyone.
