I generally consume Watch It Played for rules videos, but there was not one available for this game and I've seen you guys on the Dicetower before, so I decided to give this one a try. And wow great video! Very clear and easy to follow and I feel like I have a solid understanding of the game. You two will definitely be in my go to list for rules videos from now on.
Lucky us you found us! Thanks so much for the kind words Jacob. And yes, in our teach videos, we always try to do in order that's hopefully help in understanding the rules the most, sometimes follow the order in the rulebook, sometimes we dont :) Have a great day!
Hi Meeple University Community :). Our channel needs more subscribers so it would be awesome if you could show your support by both watching our videos and subscribing to our channel if you haven't already done so :). Doing that will allow us monetize our contents, to invest back into the channel with new equipment and our time, so a small gesture from you goes a huge way for us. Many thanks for your support!
Hi everyone, thank you for joining the premiere chat. For you who missed, feel free to turn on the live chat reply to see what we talked about. The designers Shem and Sam made appearance, as well as the artist The Mico. And they gave some spoiler of what's coming ;P
9:10 can someone explain cards like baroness or sculptor? Baroness: can you spend 4 coins to gain 2 symbols, or it can be done only once per turn? Sculptor: does it mean that all your stones are now 2 hammers, or you can exchange only 1 stone for 2 hammers once per turn?
Hi Nikos, we had the honourable Shem to help us on this one :) Here is the answer: "some of those cards explicitly state “x1” on them (one resource for two icons). They can only be used once per turn. The other ones (like 2 bags = 1 hammer) are not limited. You can’t spend silver as bags in this situation though."
Thanks for another great instructional video! I am about to receive a copy from a friend so this really helps me learn while I wait for it to arrive. Looks like I will enjoy it! Now to watch your playthrough...
Hi Nikos. The first thing you do is resolve sets of three of your own workers, ignoring any other coloured workers entirely. Once that's done, if there are any groups of four total workers remaining (including all colours), then you bump them off the castle. You never move other players' workers; only bump them, and only after you've resolved sets of three of your own workers.
Great to hear! Thanks so much Partypao, hope you enjoy the game!

Well done guys! Got my copy of Viscounts this week and I must say I was slightly overwhelmed by all those fiddly rules. After watching your excellent explanation, things became much, much clearer. Thanks a ton!
This game looks like it must be sooooo satisfying when your plan works out perfectly. I think trying to maximize your turns by making your cards and your viscount movements work together sounds like a very intriguing challenge.
Rules says that i can destory cards from my hand or top of the draw pile. If i use Rudolf ability (destroy 2 cards) or i make a trade action in location that allows me to destroy card (3 blue trade action per card destroyed) can i choose to destroy 1 card from my hand and then destroy 1 card from the top of my draw pile?
Nikos, no that would not be allowable - you only redraw at the end of your turn, so until that point you're limited to destroying from what's already in your hand or discard pile.
@@MeepleUniversity I made a mistake, (Rules says that i can destory cards from my hand or top of the discard pile.) It supposed to be Draw Pile. We not allowed to destroy cards from a discard a pile, so i think you made a mistake as well ;)
Excellent how to play. Really appreciate the time and effort gone into the example layouts used. It made it very easy to follow, especially the final scoring step which could appear complicated but somehow you made it look straightforward! Now to wait on that Kickstarter...
