Goa will loose all land which includes natural beauty, forest, rivers, wildlife etc.. Finally it will be place with lot of traffic and concrete jungle.. Why dont get it in our neighbouring place like dodamarg or karwar which have lot of land.. Plus close to Goa even if sme students frm Goa get admission..

Presently, only 8-10 companies visit engineering colleges fr placement n only 5% students get recruited. If IIT Goa project succeeds, no companies vl visit Engineering colleges as the technical level of IITians is considered better than Engineering colleges. Hence, there won't b any job security for Goan students. Goa is a small state n we have IIT at our neighboring states, so there is no need at all of IIT in Goa. If they want, they should prefer North-East states, where they need these educational facilities. Also Engineering colleges r collapsing right now. We already have NIT fr aspiring Goan students vch too have 80%+ non-Goans. We don't want IIT nw. If such project comes up, Engineering vl only remain as mystery fr Goans. Goans are already unemployed, now don't make them uneducated also. It's a complete chain: Unemployment->Uneducated->Poverty & Crimes->Death. RIP Goans💐 Goa no longer belongs to u.
For an all round developmnt of a state, the state must keep a balance on every aspects such as Manufacturing, SMEs, Trade, Human resource & most imp Education. Its a big oppurtunity that Goa has been chosen for an IIT. Such instituition not only bring a good repo to state but Employment too. It will also help in research n develpomnt which will beneficial to goan population. Everyone knows how much Goa contributes to Central n other govt jobs. U may hardly find a goan who is IAS, IRS, IFS, or IPS bcoz there is lack of awereness among the goan people. Goan youths are as good as other students in india in every aspects. So Rarther than polluting Goa by bringing harmful factories lets make Goa an Education & Medical Hub keeping Goa Clean & green.🙏🙏
We need to know how many goans are there in all the companies in all the industrial estates in Goa n make it public. Most of these companies don't take goans.

Further, there is a plan B you could use which has been identified an alternative site (Unused mining sites) as suitable, without the costs to our environment or our community.
