I like how educational this vid is. You know, learning about the many ways your projects can harm or kill me.

Good luck on this one. Can't wait to see the final product.

"...and then a piece of you dies" Haha, that just sounded hilarious. But really neat stuff. I never even knew such a thing as an ultrasonic mister existed! Can't wait to see how this shapes up in its final form.

Not been following you long but I've watched most of your videos now. Awesome work I was shown a foam iron man suit on a car forum and I'm now hooked and building my own! Your name and website was mentioned so I had a look. Your videos are very informative and have taught me a lot. Hopefully one day if money allows I will create a resin/fibreglass one similar to yours. Looking forward to future updates keep up the good work!.

Hey James im a realy big iron man fan and when i found your chanel all i could say was wow. Dude u are awsome

That "low-powered" laser pointer you showed at the beginning looked way better than an average laser pointer. Most are just a tiny dot, but that one was giant. Maybe they're made differently in the UK, or maybe the ones I get are just very low-quality.

thank you sir for posting this. its slowly giving me a few ideas for dragons breath

James (nice name btw), have you considered the "Dragon Puffer" smoke emitter? It's a mini smoke machine that is small enough to be just right for your suit. Also be careful with cheap green lasers. Often the cheaper ones lack a true infrared filter which keeps the IR portion of the beam from being totally blocked. This can be bad because the IR energy is actually stronger than the green light energy, and since it is invisible, your blink reflex will not protect you from the invisible beam.

Well not to discourage you, but LEDs will not really give you a laser "like" beam even with great collimation. It's just the nature of the beast. Lasers are still closest to what we will achieve when we have fully realized man portable beam weapons. Also the amount of light in the area you will be displaying these effects will also be a challenge too. I hope you can work out something. For the lightsaber retractable blade, a suggestion I would look into is the principle behind how powered retractable car antennas work. It could serve as a good jumping off point to making a practical setup for your retractable blade technology. Best wishes in your endeavors.

Ive used something similar before to release vapour. Using a pc fan and a hose to direct the mist worked well for me

found it rather interesting you went with a ultrasonic + water setup. did you look into using a vegetable glycerine setup using a small heating coil to vaporize it? if I dont make sense look at how an electronic cigarette works, as its a lot smaller footprint with a lot more vapour output and less power, also maybe as safe or safer than your current setup. also the alarm was great, if a little loud
@11danzizzle11
@11danzizzle11 11 лет назад
I think you should use glycerin to create the vapor, like the "ecig" you can get a great deal of vapor that is perfectly safe, all you need to do is; 1. Create a reservoir to hold the glycerin, 2. Make a small coil that can get hot enough to vaporize the glycerin 3. A system to blow it It should be pretty easy but that is just what I think, I cant wait to see updates :)

Just saw a commercial on t.v and I thought about your lazer. I'm wondering if theres a way to use E cigarettes for the smoke. Possibly by adding a pump or something to it will give a good puff of smoke. Just an idea. Good luck!

Great idea. There are some people who have made repulsor sound computers that are activated via wrist position, but having a light and smoke effect would REALLY sell it and look really impressive! And please...DON'T use that alarm in your videos again! :P

you use a e-cig vapoligy to make the fog 3d print a with a small fan to push and it would be really small to fit in the hands and control with eletronics
@GeneralScott1

where are the lasers going to be located? in the back or front, your only choice for this (and still look iron manish would be to create a backpack that houses it all. and not a cloth type backpack but an awesome thin back pack that looks like part of the suit, and the inside of the backback would be easy to engineer, container with mist maker tubes and fans, pwm fans for easy speed calibrations. this backpack would also easily store other electronic. food for thoght . awesome series, whats up with android 12

Maybe you could adapt a smoke generator from a model train? I'm not sure how they work but I believe it involves heat and and some sort of liquid.

Hi James. Nice update! Did you know that you can buy extremely small fog machines? Just like this one www.amazon.com/Green-Zero-Blaster-Blasts-Smoke/dp/B000FAIY1M It's not that cheap and you can take it aparty very easely. Also there are bigger 600W fog machines available with a buildin battery, they are still quite big and cost around $400.

stuff you use in oil lamps^^ sry im from germany and have some translation problems ;) My "tiny" machine soak the oil throught fibre glass strings to an glowing 5W resistor. a little fan blows the smoke throught a little hole in the air.

You should turn down the sound on the Danger thing. Your voice isnt that loud. and its overkill when you have like half volume trying to listen and that comes out of nowhere lol. just saying.

Better use a Hazer instead. This is child magician stuff.. ( and while your at it, use a better laser ) Ergo: When you're into lasers, you don't want to use this kind of solutions..
