Wow. I just discovered this series while looking for videos to keep me company while I mend a bunch of clothes. I'm in Colorado! Thanks so much for posting it on RU-vid for everyone to view. Library people are truly wonderful! Not only did I find something to keep me company but I am learning how to mend my clothes in new, interesting ways! For the socks I'm fixing now, I'm using a mending loom and a bunch of leftover sock yarns in various colors. I have plenty of mending to practice all your techniques on as I go, though. Thanks!!

I would like to add a note about the pens you are suggesting. As a long-time quilter, I have found (along with many others) that the pens are great at disappointing eith heat, but can and will ghost back if the fabric gets chilled ir cold. Even the manufacturer warns about using them on fabric. They were for paper. They suggest using their markers for fabrics as they will come off the fabric and will not come back if the item gets cold.

I have been visible mending for a few years and I am very excited to watch your series. As for books I would also recommend Modern Mending by Erin Lewis-Fitzgerald. She is very knowledgeable and has written a fat book full of practical info.

I'm so glad you're watching! Thank you for the book recommendation - it looks wonderful. Sadly, it won't be published in the US until June, but you can be sure that I'll be ordering it as soon as it's available! Ann

Thank you for theses videos. I have been search you tube for ways to learn to visible mend my clothes. Yours has the materials needed which many do not. The quality I would expect a library to put out! I have shared the first video in the textile FB group I am in.

Seen in Western Australia. Looking forward so much to subsequent videos. I have already picked up men's shirts: Plain Indigo & Camel, two very small patterned blues. All 100% cotton and washed, ready to go. Unable to find a nice cream cotton, so will use calico.

Hi! YT has suggested this video to me cause I recently had known sashiko embroidery. I'm from Brazil and I guess sashiko isn't known for Brazilian embroiderers and artisans. I've seen there are more videos about it, so I intend to watch them all. Important to say that you speak English slow so I can understand you. If it's possible to insert caption in Brazilian Portuguese, I'll be thankful for that. 😉 Thank you for this tutorial. I wish success for the channel. Hugs from Brazil 🇧🇷
